Visiting the Golden Temple was a truly enriching experience. From the moment I stepped onto the premises, I was captivated by the serene atmosphere and the stunning architecture. The intricate details of the temple and the tranquil waters surrounding it created a sense of peace and spirituality.Despite the large number of visitors, the temple complex was well-organized, allowing for a smooth and enjoyable visit. The queue system for entering the main temple was efficient, and the volunteers were helpful and friendly.Once inside the temple, I was struck by the beauty of the Golden Dome and the soothing chants echoing throughout. Sitting by the sacred pool, I found a moment of tranquility and reflection amidst the bustling crowd.Overall, my visit to the Golden Temple was a memorable and spiritually uplifting experience. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking solace and inspiration.

The place deserves at least two visits - one during the day to enjoy the experience in full daylight and one in the evening, when the lights are on highlighting the details. Good time is the time of evening prayers and taking the Holly Book to sleep at around 10 p.m. During the day it is worth to visit the place with a local guide who will show you places that otherwise you would miss or have no idea that you could visit like the kitchens serving 40 to 50 thousand meals each day... And you enjoy that beautiful place free. Unfortunately taking photographs in the temple is strictly forbidden - pictures only outside...

What can I say that hasn’t been said already. Truly remarkable place for visitors and locals alike. The generosity of this place is beyond any words I have. I have deep respect for Sikhs and how compassionate they are. They serve over 1M meals a day, 24 hours a day 7 days a week to anyone. It’s simple, nutritious and plentiful. Truly incredible experience that I will never forget.

Experience the positive energy here. Nice & beautiful surrounding. Few things that can be helpful for you if you're visiting here first time :Submit your shoes on outside counters, cover your head, dont take any battery/Power Bank inside & lastly take photos with precautions.

Ankur U — Google review

Even after going there, it doesn't feel like we have reached here, it looks more beautiful in the evening, the light around and the gold shining from the lake, it looks like a dream, this place is a symbol of peace, tranquility and community. , cleanliness is also taken special care here, it is also true that people who come here pray for their well-being and it is fulfilled, it is open 24 hours and food is also available 24 hours free for all passengers. So I will say that we must come here at least once in our life.

Undoubtedly, this is the main attraction of Amritsar and a must visit place. Whatever is your religion, you are be welcome inside. This place is definitely going to make you calm, you have to feel it yourself, no word can describe it. Few things to keep in mind while visiting the temple :1. Try to arrange an accommodation close to the Golden Temple, so that you can visit the temple early morning and late evening.2. Being the main attraction, this place can get reao crowded, keep that in mind.3. You need to cover your head, put off yours shoes and wash your feet before entering.4. They have the baggage counter inside the temple, you may deposit your bag there

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is an iconic Sikh religious site and a must-visit destination. It is a place of profound spiritual significance and architectural beauty. The stunning golden structure is surrounded by a serene and picturesque lake, creating a sense of peace and tranquility. The temple complex is open to people of all faiths and offers free meals to visitors, showcasing the Sikh principles of equality and selfless service. The interior of the temple is equally impressive with its intricate artwork and gilded walls. The atmosphere is often filled with devotional music and a palpable sense of spirituality. However, the temple can get crowded, almost daily and especially during religious festivals, so it’s advisable to visit during quieter times for a more serene experience. Overall, the Golden Temple is a unique and spiritually enriching place that is well worth a visit for its cultural, religious, and architectural significance.

Long queue but absolutely worth the wait. I loved it here, had a good spiritual experience. Generally temples are all commercialized in India but not this one, we weren't asked to pay even a single penny anywhere. And enjoyed the yummiest langar. Punjabis do have a big heart.

No words can brief the beauty, magnanimity, and majesty of this Holy place of Sikhism. It is situated in the heart of Amritsar city and conveniently located & approachable and is open for all faiths without any if or but. Certain restrictions are mandatory. Community kitchen service is open round the clock for all. This place is extremely well maintained in all respects and all amenities are available here. Cleanliness is superb and service to mankind is unparalleled.

Beautiful experience in the holiest Sikh place. We visited at night (~9 pm) to witness the “putting to bed” ceremony and it was amazing . We also visited the kitchen and seeing the amount of people eating there was quite extraordinary. Keep in mind you need to take off your shoes and socks to enter the temple, but it is quite clean. If you enjoy this kind of place it is worth coming to Amritsar just to see this temple . The temple is very beautiful 😍

Bhoopendra M — Google review

Smooth flow inside (entry into the main worship area does have a very long queue however) and stunning views. The temple has a beautiful philosophy of welcoming all and I encourage all to take it up.

RG — Google review

Me and my husband visited golden temple after around 10years this time...The place is too crowded and people were so rude this time. One of the sewadar started yelling at me cos my chunni shifted a little bit on my head...Really sad what they are doing to the place. I had very warm memories about the place but it was really sad this time. The place is not what is used to be.However the area around the gurudwara is developed quite well. Lots of shopping & food options available.

Surabhi A — Google review

On my third visit, I once again felt the same enchanting sensation that never gets old. The tranquil and serene atmosphere of the place captivates me every time.At the entrance, I removed my shoes and covered my head as a sign of respect. The chants in the background created a mystical aura that surrounded me.After taking a full round of the premises, I joined the long line towards the main center. Despite the rush, the line moved quickly, and I didn't have to worry. I always look forward to the Prasad they serve, it's my favorite.Afterwards, I went to the langar to enjoy a simple yet delicious meal. Sitting on the floor while being served in turns was a humbling experience.I strongly recommend visiting this place at least once. The atmosphere, food, and experience are truly inspiring.

Manish G — Google review

It would be wrong to evaluate the place of this spiritual Guru because the Guru's house is the house of greatest peace and happiness and prosperity, there he is the house of peace and ending the restlessness of the mind. After going there, I felt that God was with me in such a way that I was not worried about any reason, I was just so engrossed in having darshan that I did not even realize that I had seen God with my own eyes.

Adv K — Google review

The Golden Temple, Sri Harimandir Sahib is not only a central religious place of the Sikhs, but also a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. Peaceful, spiritual, there's something in the air which calms you down.

Gorgeous Beautiful Place to visit! One of my stops while visiting Himachal was this Gurudwara. Doesn’t matter if you’re not religious or such! This place is right by the gushing waters, It’s a pretty sight to see the river flowing through between the rocks, furthermore, pretty flags tied up everywhere! And hot water springs for men & women. Definitely something you could checkout. There’s always a huge market on the inner side where things are reasonably cheaper than getting it outside.Overall, DEFINITELY a place to stop and visit. Won’t regret it :)

This temple is so beautiful. Its hot springs and peaceful surroundings offer a unique religious experience. They also offer alms to it’s devotees. The over all view that the temple is situated is so good. One can take bath in the hot springs and get relieved of all the stress.

Whenever you are planning a trip to Manali and Kasol, it's recommended to spare a day to visit this Gurudwara. Manikaran is a pilgrimage center for both Hindus and Sikhs. Hindus believe that after the flood, Manu recreated human life in Manikaran, making it a sacred area.

Sitting in the lap of spellbinding backdrop of mountains, this place is also known for its hot water spring. This gurudwaara which is just 3km away from kasol. We can take bathing from the hot water-spring(It is believed that bathing in that hot water cures all diseases). There is a langar(a communal free kitchen) in that gurudwara from there we can have free food and prasad. I visited the gurudwara at around 3pm and they served rice with moong dal curry and potato and brinjal sabji. It was a bit crowded even on weekday.

The place is honestly very peaceful and serene. The best and most unique part of it is that same place has a gurudwara and a temple both. The river water flowing with such a high speed, the bridge above it, the steam from hot springs and the colourful flags put over there create such an environment, one never wants to leave. Sitting there and simply watching people and hearing sounds of nature... it just can't be explained. JUST ONE SHOULD MAKE SURE TO LEAVE FOR MANIKARAN IN KULLU EARLY IN MORNING, WE MADE THIS MISTAKE AND WERE CAUGHT IN HOURS OF TRAFFIC. THE TEMPERATURE IS ALSO NORMAL TO WARM, SO NO NEED FOR WARM CLOTHES AT ALL.

Ish*ta R — Google review

Manikaran is located 5kms from kasol in Parvati Valley. We went there in may month so no heavy rush and no traffic jams. Enroute there are many villages. We took a bus from Kasol 10rs/person.The place is known for hot sulphur springs. There are also Gurudwara, Shiva Temple, Raghunath temple and many more small temples.Hot springs there are unbelievable.. we boiled rice and black gram in it and came to know from a local that all the parshad (like potatoes, rice, pulses etc..those which can be boiled) for langer is cooked in hot springs. It was all foggy there not due to winter but due to the fog of springs.I really liked the place and recommend it to all those who are going to kasol.Note- currently there is heavy rainfall and landslides so check the weather reports before you go.

Gunjan B — Google review

Manikaran gurudwara is located on the parvati valley and near the river parvati. It is located about 4 km from kasol so you can visit there by car or bus. Famous place for both hindus and sikhs and other tourists. Hindus believes that the "manu" recreated the human life here at manikaran after the floods and that's why this place had been worshipped. This place having small temples of 'shiv','rama','vishnu' and main attractions of 'manikaran gurudwarasahib'. Place is absolute beauty with hot spring water and parvati river along with it. Also there is arrangement for stay and parking. I enjoyed here for around 4 hour, prasadi was so amazing and tasty, visited shiv temple behind the gurudwara and enjoyed whole view of river, hot water and Mountains. You can feel sound of nature, sound of river and breezing air.

Upon arriving in Manikaran, the first place you must visit is the Gurudwara, a sacred site for Sikhs. It holds special significance as it's the only place where you can find hot spring water high up in the mountains. Manikaran is renowned for its hot springs, situated at an elevation of 1,829 meters and located 40 kilometers from Kullu. The most prominent and beneficial spring is found at the village entrance, always bubbling with activity, believed to ebb and flow with the river's water levels. The rocks surrounding the spring exude intense heat, and the water's temperature surpasses boiling point. People can even cook rice by placing it in a muslin bag and immersing it in the hot water pool. The spring water is reputed to have radioactive properties and is thought to provide relief to those suffering from rheumatism and similar ailments. Manikaran, due to Raghunathjee and the Gurudwara, is a beloved pilgrimage destination for both Hindus and Sikhs. According to ancient lore, Manikaran is also closely associated with Lord Shiva and his divine consort, Parvati.

Very holy and spiritual place. Every one Darshan here Shree Gurudwara Sahib Manikaran and also Shree Manikaran Mahadevji. 24×7 Tea PRASADAM and Langar PRASADAM served by Volunteers and also from Gurudwara Committee.

Nestled in the Parvati Valley, Manikaran welcomed me with cool mountain breezes and breathtaking views. The lush greenery and snow-capped peaks created a picturesque backdrop, while the hot springs provided a unique contrast. As I explored the area, the sight of the Beas River flowing alongside added to the mesmerizing scenery. The tranquil atmosphere and the surrounding mountains made Manikaran a truly enchanting destination for nature lovers.

Place in the heart of Kasol. The lord Shankar temple is there and the hot water kund is the miracle of god. Some says that sulphur is there so I agree but few things which local villagers says those are really nice and we have to trust on this. This is the reason we call Himachal as Devbhumi.Parvati Valley was great with nature.Must visit!

No words for this place. Awesome Gurudwara and ShivParvati Temple. In Gurudwara, Lungar(free food in form of Prasad) is provided inside and in Shiv Temple there's a natural hot water pool in which you can cook rice which takes 5 mins to get cooked up. Loved this place. But route of this place is under construction (25th march 2k24) so met with lots of jam and traffic.

This was a beautiful calm place with lovely views. It was a great place to walk and along with nice tracks and even found the big Buddha statue down the back. Nice and flat, easy to walk and very pretty.

Paul H — Google review

This is more than just a lake with lots of fun things to do. For starters, there are several food kiosks with moderate prices and a wide range of selections.Boating is the main attraction, and there are various alternatives available, including paddle, row, and shikhara boats. The view is spectacular, and there are various additional activities available, such as rock climbing and mini swings, to help you unwind. This is the most crowded spot in Chandigarh, yet it is also the most beautiful. You may unwind and enjoy the scenery while spending the evening with family or friends at a reasonable fee. The boating time is half an hour, but it was well worth it for a paddle with the choice of two or four people in a boat. This is a must-see place in Chandigarh.

Sagar R — Google review

Visiting Sukhna Lake in the evening is the best time to do so. Boating is also available here. There is also a good selection of food options. There are vendors selling everything from South Indian food to Chinese food. Chandigarh's most picturesque place.

Great place for hangout. It's a tourist place. People who came Chandigarh from other areas, always visit Sukhna Lake. The view of sukhna lake in evening is amazing. When I went there, I just sat on the boundary to feel the silence and calmness of that place. Along the Sukhna lake there's a long route for walking.

Neeraj K — Google review

Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh is a sizable lake, and the best time to visit is in the evening when boating facilities are available. However, in windy weather, boating may not be available for safety reasons. There are plenty of eateries at the entrance of the lake, making it the ideal place to spend quality time, especially for some 'me' time.

Savita C — Google review

It was my first place that I visited after coming to Chandigarh. The sunset was looking beautiful ❤️ and the air was flowing slowly. You can visit this place alone or with your friends and family.Boating is available. You can take the rides as well. You will find the peace and the fresh air.You can get the auto rickshaw from Shivalik park easily. Charge you around 20-30 rs.

The Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh weaves a magical tapestry of serenity and splendor. This picturesque man-made marvel, born from the vision of the great architect Le Corbusier, stands as a true oasis amidst the modern chaos of the city.Imagine a place where time seems to slow down, and worries melt away like droplets on the lake's glassy surface. Sukhna Lake beckons you with open arms, inviting you to escape the mundane and embrace the extraordinary. The verdant foliage of the Shivalik Hills embraces you like a warm hug. The gentle breeze carries the faint melody of birdsong, setting the stage for a symphony of nature's finest performance. One can have an awesome view of the sunrise over there with cold Breeze and pleasant weather.Majestic migratory birds from distant lands descend upon Sukhna Lake, transforming it into a vibrant aviary. They paint the skies with their grace, and birdwatchers and photographers alike are left spellbound by this feathery spectacle. As the sun dips below the horizon, the lake dons its golden cloak, and the air becomes infused with the aroma of camaraderie and laughter. Families gather for heartwarming picnics, children chase each other with gleeful abandon, and friends share stories that will echo in their hearts for eternity.Things to do at the Sukhna Lake :1. Most picturesque place of chandigarh Sukhna Lake is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation. It has ample food joints in the food court, drinking water facilities, boating facilities (Rs 250 for 2 seater boat + 250 as security). I have been visiting this place for past 20 years and it still holds the charm. It brings peace and tranquility. Walking the entire track feels amazing while looking at the greenery on one side and the water with paddle boats and kayaks on the other side. It's one of the most inclusive public spaces I have come across in India. There are people running, walking, doing exercise, couples, elderly, kids and a lot more. Sukhna has something to offer to everyone. I prefer the Garden of Silence side as it's more peaceful compare to the entrance.Monsoon is one of the good times as everything is lush green and the lake is full. Winter is also great as you can sit and relax on the toasty stone embankment or the grass and eat oranges and soak in the sun. It's a place one must visit if going to Chandigarh.

Hindu temple

Sights & Landmarks

Manki Point, also known as Sanjeevni Hanuman Temple, is a small Hindu temple located on a hilltop in Kasauli. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is home to many monkeys. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding area from the top of the hill. The temple was recently reopened after being closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Visitors are not allowed to bring cameras or phones and must deposit all bags at the check point before proceeding on foot.

So peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It is on peak of the hills of Kasauli. You need to be fully vaccinated otherwise you won't be allowed to pass the security.Phones, baggages, snacks and electronic devices are not allowed in there because of the increased cases of monkeys snatching these items.Taxis' fare is very high.

Sahil G — Google review

A 40 minute walk from the parking stand and a 15 steep minute climb from Air Force Station gate. The temple closes at 5pm, so plan your visit accordingly. Mobile phones/other electronic items have to be deposited at the AFS gate.

Ankur M — Google review

Kasauli Lower mall Road to Monkey (Manki) point is about 4 KM walk (restricted area, no taxi allowed). After about 2 KM at check point (area controlled by Indian Air Force) all electronic items and bags must be handed overed. Atop small but steep mountain visited "Hanmun temple", small cafeteria, wash rooms are available. Tranquil views with lots pine trees enroute and nice flowers around the walk was quite manageable, had awesome experience.

We rented out cab small car for Rs500, including 5 members in celerio. 10 min rides through car.Beautiful temple situated at top hill, you need to trek for 15-25 minutes, trek is easy.Your phone will be submitted at gate entry because it is air force area so phones, cameras are prohibited inside this area.If you are carrying prashad be alrert because monkey will snatch it while going back, so hide it properly otherwise monkey will snatch it.

Rahul M — Google review

There is Hanuman temple at highest peak of hill.1. Take a cab from kasauli market, it takes 10 minutes to reach there.2. Its military area so you are not allowed to take any electronics gadgets even phone, smart watch, charger, airpods.3. At entry gate you can deposit your phone and bag with charges.4. After that they will give you ID card and ask for checking.5. Its takes 15-20 minutes to climb only through stairs.6. You can enjoy beauty of nature in minimum 1 hour and maximum 2 hour.Note - Only temple is there and canteen is also there at top.

Bohar S — Google review

To reach this point one can either get a taxi or walk from Mall road. It's around 4km if you want to walk and it's doable for almost everyone. Once you reach the main entry point, you'll have to show an ID card and deposit any bag and electronics equipment (smartphone/smartwatch/cameras) as most of the reviews mentioned. There is a small deposit fee (50 for a bag with 2 phones). From the main entrance you'll still need to walk 5 mins to reach the main stairway, from where you can get to the top. The view at the top is great but if you're unlucky (like me) and go when there's foggy weather you won't be able to fully appreciate it. The only flaw is that there's no decent food points in the whole complex. The closest one is on the Mall road.

Jay S — Google review

Mandir photos are not available bcz all electronic devices were submitted by Air Force bcz of safety reasons.. Beware of Monkeys please don't carry any items above not even a bottle of water or bag... They ll snatch it for sure and can even hurt you. Leave the Prasad of Mandir also above only.

Nitish K — Google review

We have to take a cab from market to Manki pointIt takes 50₹ per person one side.Up there mobile is not allowed and around 500 steps are there upto the top of hill. The view is just awesome.Above 60 age are advised to think thrice before going up as the steps are inclined and very arduous task for elders.

Sushant K — Google review

The best view point I must say, the place was open after staying closed due to Covid. No camera or phones are allowed, we have to deposit all bags at the check point and then proceed on foot. Situated in a defence area, the climb atop the hill is fun, there are steps in few pathways... but when you reach the top the view is magical and a must see... spending time at the top is very peaceful. Must go. No phones were allowed hence no photos to upload.

Jiji J — Google review

The peace at the temple is worth the climb.Lunch time at the pass issuing counter is 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.Please make sure not to carry anything that is not permitted. As far as water bottle is concerned, carry as small as possible. There are monkeys on the path and will snatch anything in your hand but will not bother you if you don't bother them.

Nalin G — Google review

Mobile phones and other electronic devices are restricted there so can't share temple pic .I think this was the peakest point in kasauli when I visited and i found this at manki point

Dhanu S — Google review

A divine experience. It is approx 500 metres walk inside the Airforce Complex before you reach the base from where there is an approx 500 metres climb up the hill to the temple. The climb is steep but is not as difficult as some people sound in the reviews. There are enough benches enroute…. one can catch a breath whenever required and continue. It is a proper covered, concrete paved way, interspersed with stairs. There is a restaurant and a Prasad Shop on top. There are a few monkeys enroute but they are used to humans and do not disturb you….. but will grab any eatables…. so do not carry ANY eatables….. even the Prasad on the way down !! Apart from the divine experience, the view from top is breathtaking.

Girish K — Google review

The temple is almost 2.5 kms from mall road parking. You can get taxis from the parking area, personal vehicles are not allowed. The taxis will cost INR 200 one side. You should carry a small bag with you to deposit your phone and smart watch at the counter. There are staircases and ramp to reach the top. It's a good height of around 500ms to climb to reach the temple. You will take about 30-45 minutes to reach on the top.You can buy Prasad on the top itself. There is a small shop where you can eat snacks but don't forget to carry cash because you will not have for phone with you and card doesn't work here. It's quite windy at the top so don't forget to carry a stall or a light sweater based on the weather you can decideThe entry is till 1PM in the afternoon and than it reopens at 2PM. The temple is not closed just at the entry gate where you get passes these people are on lunch break. It's advised to wear shoes because the stairs are Rocky and good distance to walk. While coming back as well you can get taxis. Same INR 200 each side.Be careful with the monkeys. Don't carry eatables which are visible to them. You can have something in your bag or pocket.Overall It's a good experience

If you're a lord hanuman's "Bhakt" you must visit this temple once in your life.Manki point or the sanjeevni hanuman mandir is situated inside the air force area in kasauli, himachal and you're not allowed to carry any electronic items inside the airforce area, they provide with paid lockers to keep your stuff. Then there are mandir steps of 500m but on mount height. It's quite exhausting climbing those steps up, but when you reach on the top that feeling of temple and view from that top is just mind blowing.Legend behind temple:The legend says that during Ramayan, when lord Lakshman was injured and Hanuman ji was asked to carry sanjeevni for him, his one foot touched this mount top and hence people made a temple there dedicating to him.

Sights & Landmarks

The Hanuman temple is a spiritual center in Shimla dedicated to the monkey god. It is one of the most peaceful places in Kufri and has a massive statue of Lord Hanuman. The temple opens at 8am and closes at 1pm, with entry fees being nil.

A great place to visit, its 8400 ft high from the 🌊 level, any you should definitely try the cable car once, its a awesome experience overall. You another thing you should not wear any sunglasses or glass as that can been taken by the bandars. For more info you can always refer to my photos. Thank you.

Probably the best place in Shimla. Lovely trekking experience. You can trek from Mall Road to temple or take cable car ride to temple. But the trekking experience would be really great. Be aware of the monkeys, they may take anything away from you anytime.

A must visit place in Shimla. Don’t miss it. Cab charges around 1000/- from cart road.If you’re self driving roads are quite steep but good and well maintained, take it only if you can drive in thinnest roads in mountains. Parking space is available.Normal queues in temple. It’s a beautiful view from the top.

Jakhoo temple is very famous in shimla , and only ropeway in shimla to ride , here the Hanuman statue is 108ft makes it the world tallest statue of Hanuman, if you visit shimla don't miss the place , u can see so many monkeys here and view on every side , main idol very beautiful full of devotional vibes

A nice place to visit. If you are fit, go for a trek and enjoy the view. There is an escalator facility at the top. The place is neat and clean. But beware of monkeys. Don't carry any food items with you. A monkey bit a child in front of me, so be careful.

Akash K — Google review

Serene and calm place to visit. We did the trek up to this temple and it’s a fairly difficult one. Alternate way is the longer route via vehicle. Well maintained and a clean place. It’s the highest point in Shimla & the 100+ ft huge statue of Lord Hanumanji is visible from almost any part of the city. Don't carry any valuables or baggage to the temple as there are a lot of monkeys in and around the temple; they don't harm you as such.

Ankit R — Google review

It's ancient times holy place. As it is Hanuman ji's temple, it has a lot of cute monkeys who want food and love from you. The view is awesome from the top. You should bring channas or breads or bananas etc. with you for monkeys, which make you feel good.

Anmol M — Google review

A must visit absolutely peaceful place to visit . Beware of monkeys .To travel uphill there are various modes one of them is you get a government taxi for 20 rs person one way from near McDonald's/ brew estate . It's quiet a climb so do try stairs only if your are habitual to it . Even where the car leaves there is a little climbing from there and that too on unmade stairs . So for elderly it's best to avoid .

Kalyani Y — Google review

Jai Shri Ram 🙏 Jai Hanuman. 🙏A 108 ft tall Sankatmochan Statue and the Natural ambience will blow your mind.Must go place once you visit Shimla.

Prosun G — Google review

It was a great place to visit, especially when there is snowfall, amazing view and vibe. The aura of this place is amazing. And you can access this palace without a cab service there is a pathway directly from Mall road in front of st. Christ Church, it's a bit long but you can save some money on it.

Kunal G — Google review

How to Reach : 1. Take Ropeway Approx 500-600 ₹ per person 2. Take a Cab Approx 500 ₹ per Cab 3. Take the staircase. It is said that Lord Hanuman took rest here when HE was on His way to collect Sanjeevani booti for Lakhshmana. The Lord Hanuman statue is around 108 ft tall and can be seen from Shimla Mall Road & The ridge. It is a very serene place. When we reached Aarti was going on and a local woman (probably possessed) was doing the Aarti and at the end Pujari ji sprinkled Jal on her and she was screaming for a while then back to normal. Didn't get time to explore the story behind it due to crowd.Pro Tip : Don't wear Sunglasses/ specs or any other valuable ornaments as monkey gangs are looking for it and they will snatch it and you wouldn't even know. Exchange it for the Prasada/Food 😁 Jay Bajrangbali 🙏

Parth S — Google review

Divine place with lots of history. We went on a Sunday and just missed the Bhandara. It was a little crowded. Cable car ride to temple was worth it even though it's a little expensive. There is an option to walk all the way up, only if you have ample amount of time. Lot's of monkeys around. Make sure you don't carry any food items in plastic bags....the monkeys will snatch it. Also keep your cellphone safe. Be careful while taking pictures.

Vijayendra S — Google review

According to the Ramayana, Hanuman stopped at the location to rest while searching for the Sanjivni Booti to revive Lakshmana. A giant 108-feet-high idol of Hanuman was unveiled at Jakhu Hanuman temple on 4 November 2010. At 108 feet (33 m), it surpasses the statue of Christ the Redeemer, which measures at 98 feet (30 m), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The cost of construction was Rs 1.5 crores. The public unveiling was officiated by Abhishek Bachchan. The temple is accessible by foot, horse, taxi or ropeway. The Jakhu Ropeway is an aerial lift that links a point near the centre of Shimla to the temple. It was developed by Jagson International Limited and opened in 2017.

You can take Ropeway or a taxi to reach there and Beware of Monkeys, they try to snatch your belongings. Worth the visit. We came with the cable car. Stunning views and the huge statue of Hanuman is amazing, with small monkeys running on it's feet

Yonatan C — Google review

Shri Hanuman Mandir Jakhoo is located on the top of Jakhoo Hill in Shimla. It is an upclimb from the main road but vehicles reach up easily with some steep routes in between. It is easily navigable via Google Maps.Legend says that Lord Hanuman has taken a halt at this point while returning back taking the Sanjeevani booti with him for Lord Laxman. It is believed the idol came out magically after he left the hill for his journey ahead. It's a beautiful temple and the sunset here is magical. The premises of the temple are well maintained and a small parking lot is also made outside the temple for vehicles. The temple has a lot of monkeys and it is advised to keep your spectacles away while visiting as monkeys tend to snatch them for a barter for food. Due to the presence of monkeys, it's believed that the presence of Lord Hanuman is evident. The temple is also home to 108 foot tall Lord Hanuman statue which is a sight to see. As you enter Shimla, it is clearly visible from afar. The temple premises has a help desk as well for any queries and bhandaras are also organised frequently for the masses. It's an unmissable iconic spot if you're visiting Shimla, highly recommended for your Shimla Trip.

He rested on top of the Jakhu hill for some time. It is said that the top of the hill got flattened due to Hanuman's weight! The temple has been built around the place that is supposed to have the footprints of Hanuman.

Waterfalls

Kempty Falls in Mussoorie is a popular tourist destination that offers a stunning view of cascading waterfalls, pools and boating with vantage points and cafes. The site comprises seven waterfalls, which make for an awe-inspiring sight. Visitors can hike to the top to enjoy more breathtaking views of the falls. This attraction is perfect for groups of friends and families looking to spend quality time together. However, it may not be suitable for young children as it is located on a mountain.

The waterfall flows under a bridge. It's absolutely free to visit. You need to park you car slightly before or after the bridge. You can take the stairs and go to higher levels of the waterfall. There are shops where you can change and rent swimming trunks to take a dip in the waterfall. One such shop is absolutely free. There are also a few local food shops as well. Overall it's a good tourist attraction.

Samarpan D — Google review

The Kempty falls itself is very pretty and the water appeared white and clear(just like you might have seen in some pictures). You can either walk or take a cable car ride to see the waterfall. You will see hundreds of people getting into the water and having fun. There are a few lookouts to to enjoy the waterfall and take pictures. Kempty Falls was only 5 kilometers from our hotel JW Marriott but I guess is a good 45-60mins. drive in a car from Mussoorie(depending on the traffic). Stop littering and save this wonderful spot for others to enjoy as well. The city has a task cut out for them to take action and tidy up this place which I believe is one of the attraction in Mussoorie!

We recently visited Kempty Falls with our family and had a wonderful time. The falls themselves are a stunning natural attraction, offering a refreshing and picturesque spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The sound of the water cascading down the rocks was both soothing and invigorating.Apart from the falls, we were pleasantly surprised by the nearby market. It’s a great place to shop for wooden gifts and souvenirs. There was a wide variety of items, including beautifully crafted wooden artifacts, which made for perfect mementos. Additionally, the market had a good selection of items for ladies, ranging from accessories to clothing.Overall, Kempty Falls is not just about the natural beauty but also offers a delightful shopping experience. It’s a perfect spot for a family outing, combining the joy of nature with a bit of local shopping.

Traffic, difficult walking, Also ropeway is available.Ropeway price: 200/- per ticketlockers and spare clothes are available so that you could go in the fall enjoy and get wet and then come back and change, avaliable at 50 to 100 rs.So, whenever you visit keep 3-4 hours in total to be able to get here and enjoy. What a beautiful water fall. I saw a waterfall for the first time in my life and it was so beautiful. The water was too cold to handle. I even went into the water and got shower under the water falling down. It was so beautiful. If you don't have extra pair of cloth that's fine you can rent it easily from the waterfall location. There are many cloth vendors.

Kempty Falls is one the most popular tourist attraction and picnic spot in Mussoorie. Surrounded by high mountain cliffs. The pond formed at the bottom of the falls makes an excellent spot for swimming and bathing.Offering a stunning view of water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. This is a must visit place in mussoorie, you can either reach here by ropeway or by stairsThe ropeway charges around 200 per person.Ropeway is not too long so you can skip the ropeway and use the ropeway at bhatta falls as it is long and you can get an amazing view.

I really enjoyed the fall. Water was extreme 🥶cold. Locker facilities were available over there and it costs 50 rupees. Otherwise no entry ticket to visit kempty fall.

Very beautiful waterfall. And a huge walkway market where they sell tourist attractions and tea shops around. But the place is not maintained at all, people spit everywhere and dumped waste. And you will see rope way to the fall. It’s a very small rope way costs you .Rs.200 for one way. And won’t accept online payments.May better walk to to the waterfall while going and return come in rope way.

It's awesome very calmingLoved the atmosphere there It was very soothing, although there were a lot of people and it always seemed a bit crowded, you may have to wait a little bit to take your pictures but believe me it's worth it,. You can bathe under the waterfall and there's a good facility of keeping your goods in the locker and changing room so you can bath and keep your things away from water. The scenes are very beautiful but the only drawback is you have to take too many stairs to reach there..You can also enjoy the waterfalls above it they're small but very beautiful ❤️.

Waterfall is very nice. You can enjoy in clean water. Water is cold here but still it's worth to go. From parking you need to go to stairs. To reach waterfall, you need go down around 100 steps. There are costumes and changing rooms available near waterfall. There is ropeway/cable car facility also. Charges are higher, for one side it's 200 per person. So you can take it while going up.

Beautiful and cool shops recommend getting there before 3pm so you have enough time for the gondola which closes at 5pm. Cool shops bit pricey but looks cool. Fun games and food. If you take kids keep them close as there are alot of monkeys and they snatch stuff but they got really close to my daughter bit scary.

It's way more commercialized and that too in such a way that the natural beauty is completely destroyed.Don't waste your time visiting it.Locals might say things otherwise because it contributes to their economy but you can't waste half of your day visiting there. Look for places that are less famous.

This place is good for relaxation with friends and family. But If you need to have tea or coffee you need to tell them to put less sugar. Otherwise the tea or coffee will be very sweet. 15-20 min if you don't take a bath.

This is a nice little relaxing getaway within Mussoorie. Be sure to wear proper walking shoes as the climb can be a little challenging in places. Apparently one can arrange to have breakfast or a meal while dining inside the stream. I was able to enjoy this as part of a private event for my cousins wedding.

Kempty falls is at the bottom of the area, which you can go by the cable car(opens at 10am) or by stairs(long way down). But it also extends towards the top with beautiful smaller falls along the way. There are shops throughout the path, like for food, souvenirs and other things.

At Triveni Ghat, a holy site on the banks of the Ganges River in Rishikesh, Hindu pilgrims come to take a dip and offer prayers to their deities. The evening aarti is particularly auspicious and attracts many tourists.

One of the best holy place to worship the river Ganga. Daily aarti is observed at this placed after 6pm in the evening. The atmosphere and the attire of the pujaris during Aarti is the best thing to watch. Due to covid body temperature check and sanitization while entering the ghat is taken care. Mask too is compulsory while entering ghat

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, is a special place. It's where three important rivers, the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, meet, creating a holy spot. People from all over the world come here to find peace and spirituality. When I visited Triveni Ghat, I saw a big statue of Lord Shiva watching over the place. People, including holy men called sadhus, gathered there to pray. They chanted "Har Har Mahadev" to honor Lord Shiva. One of the most beautiful things I saw was when people took a dip in the Ganga river. They believed it washed away their sins and made them pure.In the evening, a special ceremony called Ganga Aarti took place. Priests in saffron clothes lit oil lamps and sang songs. The sight of these glowing lamps by the river was mesmerizing.Triveni Ghat is not just a holy place, but also a meeting point for different cultures. It's where traditions from all around India come together. While Triveni Ghat is a special place, it's also important to take care of the environment and the ghat itself. Uttarakhand is a beautiful state, and we should protect it.My visit to Triveni Ghat left me feeling grateful for the spirituality and culture it holds. It's a reminder that faith and tradition still thrive in this world.

Devine experience. Taking an early morning dip in Holy Ganga and looking at rising sun, its an experience of a lifetime. The ghat is clean and well maintained. There is ample space for taking a dip. Iron chains are there to assist you. There are changing rooms for Ladies too. Flow of river is quite high here, so be careful. Make sure to keep the ghat clean.

Triveni ghat is famous for the Ganga Arti. I was the live spectator of that. Sitting at the ghat you can see the holy ganga. Many hawkers are there to sell the flowers, agrbartti, deepak etc for worship. There will be huge crowd in the evening for watching the Arti. Although you will be surrounded by people you will feel peace inside you.

Triveni ghat is a great place to sit and enjoy the enchanting beauty of the place. It is used to take bath and people offer their worship to Mata Triveni. I like this place because of its simplicity and beauty. Just sit and enjoy the nature. It will give you the most important thing - peace of mind.

The first thing that strikes you about Triveni Ghat is the mesmerizing view of the Ganges River. The ghat is beautifully maintained, and the steps leading down to the river make it easy for visitors to take a dip in the sacred waters. The evenings at Triveni Ghat are truly enchanting, with the famous Ganga Aarti, a ritual of offering prayers to the river, filling the air with devotion and peace. The sight of numerous diyas (oil lamps) floating on the water during the Aarti is nothing short of magical. The spiritual aura of Triveni Ghat is palpable, with pilgrims and tourists alike coming here to seek solace and spiritual enlightenment. The ghat is also a hub for cultural and religious events, making it a vibrant and lively place to visit. The local market near Triveni Ghat is a great place to explore, offering a variety of religious trinkets, clothing, and local food. You can sample some delicious street food while enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Famous for it's Daily Evening Aarti and sacred baths. But it's not just a ghat for baths or pooja but a scenic point and due to its length it naturally becomes a walking area, yoga or hangout place.Well managed by Shri Ganga Sabha, Rishikesh. The ghat is very long with a dedicated area for daily evening Aarti.Ghat is open 24*7 and has free but limited capacity of parking space. The ghat has steps and gaurd rails for devotees who need support. It is also wheel chair friendly.Ghat has chain barriers where people can safely bath, but mostly people prefer to cross it and feel the strength of Maa Ganga.Ghat provides changing rooms for women and dedicated washrooms for both men and women.Daily pooja offerings and plastic gallons are available to be purchased from local sellers. Friendly advice: don't hesitate in Bargaining. If you want to see the magnitude of our most sacred river, it gives you se glimpse of it and you will be mesmerised with the scenary it holds. Elephant is one of the lucky sites you can get on the opposite end of the river bank.

Beautiful Ganges Puja at Triveni Ghat. Reach before time to get the best place to sit and view the arti. if you want the first 3 rows then buy the aarti ticket costing INR 500 per person. If you just wanna enjoy aarti then reach around 5-5,30 and grab a seat from the 4th row. post that you would be stopped from seating in the first rows as they are reserved for aarti people. Rest you get an amazing experince of the ganga aarti.

'Akshardham' means the divine abode of God. It is hailed as an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. Swaminarayan Akshardham at New Delhi is a Mandir – an abode of God, a Hindu house of worship, and a spiritual and cultural campus dedicated to devotion, learning and harmony. Timeless Hindu spiritual messages, vibrant devotional traditions and ancient architecture all are echoed in its art and architecture. The mandir is a humble tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781- 1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism. The traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the devoted efforts of skilled artisans and volunteers. Each element of Akshardham echoes with spirituality – the Mandir, the Exhibitions and even the Gardens. The Akshardham mandir has over two hundred murtis, representing many of the spiritual stalwarts over many millennia. The spiritual premise of Akshardham is that each soul is potentially divine. Whether we are serving the family, the country our neighbors or all living beings the world over , each service can help one move towards divinity. Each prayer is a call towards improving oneself and moving closer to God.A visit to Akshardham is a spiritually enriching experience. Whether it is in realising the power of prayer, in feeling the strength of non-violence, in being aware of the universal nature of Hinduism’s ancient principles, or just in admiring the beauty of God’s abode on Earth – each element has a spiritual significance.Facts and Figure:Opened 6th November 2005Constructed by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS)Inspired by HH Yogiji Maharaj (1892-1971 CE)Created by His HolinessPramukh Swami MaharajMore than 300,000,000 volunteer hours went into making the complexOver 8,000 volunteers from across the world participated in building itMandir built from intricately carved sandstone and marbleExhibitions on Hinduism, including Bhagwan Swaminarayan's life and teachings such as prayer, compassion, and non-violence.Open gardens, water bodies and step-well styled courtyard.

The templewas officially opened on 6 November 2005 byPramukh Swami Maharajin the presence of Dr.A. P. J. Abdul Kalam,Manmohan Singh,L.K AdvaniandB.L Joshi. The temple, at the centre of the complex, was built according to theVastu shastraandPancharatra shastra. In Akshardham Delhi, similar to its predecessorAkshardham Gandhinagar,Gujarat, the main shrine is the focal point and maintains the central position of the entire complex. There are various exhibition halls which provide information about the life and work ofSwaminarayan. The designers of the complex have adopted contemporary modes of communication and technology to create the various exhibition halls. The complex features anAbhisheka Mandap, Sahaj Anandwater show, a thematic garden and three exhibitions namely Sahajanand Darshan (Hall of Values), Neelkanth Darshan (an IMAX film on the early life ofSwaminarayanas the teenage yogi, Neelkanth), and Sanskruti Darshan (cultural boat ride). According toSwaminarayan Hinduism, the wordAkshardhammeans the abode of almighty Lord Swaminarayan and believed by followers as a temporal home of God on earth.

Well this is the India's second largest temple, & asia's third largest temple around the world. Apart from this basic general knowledge, the good thing is entry is free but only for the "darshan" When it comes to shows, you have to pay for that, where the light/fountain show is most recommended if you are not opting for full package show ticket. Phone/Camera/Bags are not allowed inside temple, so make sure you keep in your car or either you can keep them in locker room which is also free to access.Keep in mind, if you are going in rush hour then put our items/goods in your car/own space which will save your time in standing in queue.Akshardham Temple or Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex is a prestigious fascination in Delhi and it gloats its profound and social exercises spreading over the city. The mind boggling invites you to comprehend and break down the conventional Hindu and Indian culture, deep sense of being and design. Being a standout amongst the most went by vacation spots in Delhi, the sanctuary has magnificence and dynamic quality, amazing by whatever else. The banks of the excellent Yamuna River in eastern Delhi offer space to the complex and the development was by the Vastu Shastra and Pancharatra Shastra.

The best and the most beautiful part is the main temple where the colors are too good.Note :- You can not take your phone 📱, camera 📷, so you have to stand in the queue to summit them in the cloak room. Secure cloak room 5/5.After the cloak room there is a security check which will be done in a minute you just have to remove your wallet and belt and that's it they will check you and let you pass.Strong security check.Best place to visit.

The architecture is undoubtedly breathtaking and this place is worth a visit. However the staff is rude, timings of rides and events are not mentioned correctly on the website and not allowing purses or phones inside is incomprehensible. Why should we be asked to return or have to leave our valuables insecurely in cabs. Why not be transparant and allow cellphones. And what harm can purses and bags do...just use security measures. Even airports allow bags, so why shouldn't this place!!!

Bahá'í house of worship

Sights & Landmarks

The Lotus Temple, also known as the Bahá’í House of Worship, is a religious site that opened in 1986 and welcomes people of all religions. This distinctive place of worship in South Delhi resembles India's national flower with its ethereal marble construction. The temple's nine overlapping walls enclose a single cavernous interior space, reflecting the Bahai Temples' practice of being open to all.

The Lotus Temple in Delhi is a remarkable architectural marvel and a symbol of unity and peace. The temple is not only a visual delight but also a place of spiritual significance. It welcomes people from all backgrounds, religions, and beliefs to meditate, pray, or simply find solace in its serene environment. The central hall, devoid of religious icons or images, promotes a sense of unity and oneness among visitors.Surrounded by lush green gardens and pools, the Lotus Temple provides a serene escape from the bustling city of Delhi. Its unique design, inclusive philosophy, and peaceful ambiance make it a must-visit attraction for both tourists and those seeking a moment of tranquility in the heart of the capital city. However, it's essential to be respectful of the temple's rules and maintain the silence and serenity that define this sacred space.

Very beautiful and peaceful place...... Garden around the temple is a treat for the eyes ❤️ . Although be watchful for the timings or you will have to wait in long queue.1. Don't bring FOOD, you cannot take food inside.2.Visit in morning hours, you will enjoy everything more comfortably as for evening times there is a lot of rush and heat.3. Don't disobey instructions....as for my experience staff is very rude and their way of correcting you will not be very good.4. Watch for kids...They may get lost in the crowd as i have seen with my own eyes5.It is a temple of peace but their is a huge rush of visitors that you are rarely going to experience any ☮️ peace.

Ankur — Google review

This is a beautiful place and I really love going there but infrequently ofcourse because massive crowd is there all the time. Though I really appreciate the work authorities have done to keep the place cleaned and hygienic but it would be nice to have a ticket to go in so that we can help the temple grow. Lets say maybe 10 rupees so that everyone can afford it. Our small contributions can make it grow better and help them who puts our efforts to keep this place best. That idea can help creating a proper queue so that people can come in line. Its just an idea but ill leave them for them to decide.Overall above good.

Akash G — Google review

The place was beautiful and well maintained. But there was a long queue and wait hours (went on a public holiday). Beverages/snacks are not allowed inside. It's not ideal to go during peak summers. The temple was closed due to the crowd.

Kezia A — Google review

Beautiful place. The garden has been built on a very large lining. Before going inside the Lotus temple, a bag is given on which you have to keep your footwear and after coming out of the temple you have to return that bag, I liked this method very much. The purpose of making Lotus temple was that people of all religions should come here, sit and meditate peacefully and pray. There is a big prayer meet inside the temple where you can sit and meditate for as long as you want.

Deeksha S — Google review

The Lotus Temple, located in Delhi, India, is a remarkable architectural masterpiece and a symbol of unity and spirituality. I had the privilege of visiting this awe-inspiring structure, and it left a lasting impression on me.The Lotus Temple's design, resembling a blooming lotus flower, is simply breathtaking. The white marble exterior is immaculate and stands out against the lush green surroundings. It's not just a place of worship but also a work of art.Upon entering, you're welcomed by a serene atmosphere and a sense of tranquility. What makes this place unique is that it's open to people of all religions and beliefs, emphasizing the universality of spiritual quest. The temple encourages silence and reflection, making it a peaceful oasis in the bustling city of Delhi. It's a place where you can sit, meditate, or simply enjoy the stunning architecture. The only minor downside is the crowd, as it's a popular tourist attraction. However, it's a testament to the temple's significance and beauty. In summary, the Lotus Temple is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Delhi. It's a testament to the power of architecture, spirituality, and inclusivity, and it offers a truly peaceful and inspiring experience.

Arjun S — Google review

I expected serene and peaceful atmosphere but instead I got huuuuuge crowds, first queue to enter the grounds and second queue to enter the temple itself. Maybe because it was Sunday afternoon. There is only one path that's not restricted so crowds have nowhere to disperse and you can't just walk around the grounds. Inside of the temple is a nice and quiet but nothing special from architectural point of view. From the outside the design is very interesting though

Michał B — Google review

The Lotus temple is a secular place of worship and contemplation. The entry is free for all which makes this a popular tourist spot. As a result the waiting time can get pretty long so plan accordingly. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained. You are required to remove your shoes before climbing the more than 50 steps to the temple entrance. The inside is a tranquil sanctuary with lots of chairs to sit and contemplate life.

Prashant G — Google review

An architectural gem.. the space is beautifully designed for the purpose of spiritual and social awakening of the visitors... Peaceful and relaxing environment... Everyday prayers will calm your soul... Baha'i faith is very beautifully explained in the Design itself...

Sumit W — Google review

The place is quite good, it's not a temple to worship but a place to relax your mind and meditate in a big hall and there is no need to buy tickets as entry is free.Information centre helps us to understand more about the place and it's history. The Lotus Temple has won numerous architectural awards and has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles.Overall visiting the temple is a good experience and also gives you peace but with a lot of people around you,it's get difficult. So, Please do visit there.

DAIYAN S — Google review

Very nice place to visit with good ambience and irrespective of religion anyone can come here. No ticket required at entry, only thing to remember is that don't enter with good and drinks as it is not allowed. The last time to enter is 6pm.

The Lotus Temple in Delhi is a unique and captivating architectural wonder. Shaped like a blooming lotus flower, this Bahá'í House of Worship is renowned for its stunning design and serene ambiance. The temple's white marble structure and pristine surroundings create a sense of peace and tranquility, making it a perfect place for meditation and reflection. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to enter and explore the temple, as it symbolizes unity and oneness of all religions. The interior of the Lotus Temple is equally impressive, featuring a vast central hall with no idols or religious symbols. Instead, it encourages visitors to contemplate and pray in their own way, fostering an inclusive and spiritual experience.Since it is one of the most visited landmarks in Delhi, it's best to plan your visit during weekdays or early in the morning to avoid larger crowds. The temple also hosts various cultural events and concerts, adding to the overall charm of the place.Overall, the Lotus Temple is a must-visit destination in Delhi, whether you seek spiritual solace or simply want to admire the breathtaking architecture. It offers a serene escape from the bustling city and leaves visitors with a sense of awe and inspiration.

Peaceful and so beautiful place to visit. But since no edibles are allowed so the purpose of visit remains just for seeing things. It's free. Not much to see.Go only if you want a peaceful environment to talk and spend a casual evening.

The Lotus Temple is a captivating architectural marvel, its lotus-shaped design providing a serene ambiance. The serene atmosphere and lush surroundings make it a perfect place for reflection and tranquility. However, limited interior access might disappoint those expecting more extensive exploration. Overall, a must-visit for its unique design and peaceful environment.

Nice place to visit in Delhi. Nice view... The garden is very beautiful & a perfect place to click good pictures. Entry is free but u can't enter with food items. If you have any in your bag, security will asked you to finish them before enter in the place. The front view of the temple is so mesmerizing & I feel an immense peace inside the temple. There is no religion bar & everyone are allowed inside the meditation hall. Worth visiting.

Trisha A — Google review

Although the entry inside is restricted at this Covid, but being in the campus is such peaceful. Calmness and peace can be felt here, such pure energy. Campus is well maintained, free of cost to enter and see the beauty around. The cleanliness is commendable, so is the staff behaviour. You can see varieties of flowers and well maintained trees. A must visit with your loved ones.

A very beautiful temple. The surrounding is clean and the garden is well-maintained. The view is amazing.Inside it's very calm and quite. There's nothing much inside, just a bunch chairs and a table. You can stay inside for as long as you want but you can't make noise or use phones. While going inside the temple grounds, you are not allowed to bring any kind of foods and beverages(except water) and all bags or backpacks will be checked. If you have a camera with you then you have to submit your ID card at the check gate.

Suraj S — Google review

Lotus Temple is a recent monument in the historical city of Delhi, and owing to its beautiful design and free entry, it is one of the popular sites for Delhites. Full marks for cleanliness and security. But it is too crowded on holidays (as it has free entry), and there is littering all around the boundaries. People have no respect for our monuments and lack sense of cleanliness, which should be developed among ourselves.

Kashif N — Google review

Nice place to see bhaai temple. You can expand for 30 minutes time here. It is a nice eye catching place. Inside the temple nothing except the seating area or you can say prayer area. You will get 10 minutes of time to sit and pray to your god. You must go there to see the Lotus style building architecture that is the main attraction.

Sanjeev K — Google review

It was a pretty awesome place to visit for free. the view of lotus temple was very mesmerizing and the garden was full of stylishly trimmed trees and much more. But there is nothing much to do there , you can do prayers inside where there is no ac or fan and come out within few minutes .

Prateek — Google review

Located near Kalkaji mandir metro station, it is probably the most silent and calming place in Delhi. One can feel the presence of inner soul by witnessing the silence in the temple. The architecture is amazing. No entry tickets are required to visit the temple.

Harsh N — Google review

The Lotus Temple is located in New Delhi, India. It is famous for its lotus-like shape and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The building comprises 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in three clusters to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34 meters and a capacity of 1,300 people. Inspired by the lotus flower, which is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. The temple's shape is symbolic and inter-religious because the lotus is often associated with purity, sacredness, spirituality, and knowledge. The nine doors of the Lotus Temple open onto a central hall 34.3 meters tall that can seat 1,300 people and hold up to 2,500. The temple has a diameter of 70 m. The Lotus Temple property comprises 26 acres and nine surrounding ponds and gardens.

Mustain A — Google review

The Lotus Temple is undeniably a beautiful structure, with its stunning architectural design reminiscent of a blooming lotus flower. However, if you're seeking mental peace, this might not be the ideal destination due to the bustling crowds and constant activity. While the temple offers a picturesque backdrop for a photo shoot, the serenity one might expect to find here is often overshadowed by the sheer number of visitors. The peaceful ambiance often sought after for quiet contemplation may be elusive amidst the hustle and bustle.Nevertheless, the sheer beauty of the Lotus Temple's architecture is undeniable and worth experiencing. Despite the crowds, it remains a remarkable testament to artistry and creativity. So, if you're prepared for the lively atmosphere and appreciate captivating architecture, a visit to the Lotus Temple can still be a memorable experience.

Entry closes by 5PM sharp, entry to temple/garden is absolutely free. This temple is such a wonderful architectural marvel. Garden is so huge, beautiful and very well managed. Although entry in garden isn’t allowed. There’s a pathway (long corridor) that leads to temple you can walk along the garden and get some amazing pictures. There’s no idol inside so it’s not a worshipping temple. You can sit and do dhyan.Parking is available on the opposite side of the temple.

Shweta K — Google review

This temple atmosphere amazing...Interesting architectural building, Inspired by a lotus flower, hence the name. It's surrounded by some nice gardens leading up to the temple. Be aware that you must take your shoes off and put them in a bag walking up to the temple. Inside there are no pictures or talking allowed. Not a very picturesque place inside, but a good place to pray or meditate.

SHUBHAM S — Google review

This is a beautiful, no doubt about it...but you cannot go there to relax or have any peace of mind. They are huge queues and the entire ground is restricted. You are allowed to only use the footpaths. During the huge rush, that space is not sufficient. What's the point of having a massive complex with a huge garden if you are not allowed to leave the footpath. There is also very minimal parking in this area. The access road is narrow.Overall, not a place to go if you are looking for a peaceful time..

Overall a great experience. Well maintained lake by the Garhwal rifles regiment. Very well maintained gardens and Well organized boating activity. Clean bathrooms in the vicinity (chargeable). There is a single ticket that covers the entry into the garden area and the boating charges - nominal at 150/head.We visited over a long weekend and it was crowded. There was a brief waiting to enter since the gardens were a little crowded.

This place is ideal for nature and peace lovers as this place is mainly an artificial lake and encircling it is a garden with a lot of variety of flowers and other ornamental plants. There is also a kids park inside and a lot of benches are present for people to sit and enjoy their time in this park. At the centre of the lake a wooden bridge is present where one can take photographs of their own. Boating is present and it is included in the entry fees which is 150 rupees. Boating can be done at your own risk. But still life jacket is available free of cost. And the boats are paddle boats.

Kalpan C — Google review

Well the entry ticket is for 130 (in dec 2021) which includes compulsory boating and without it the tickets are not available. So you have no other option. The views you get to see here can also be seen from the outside of the park in case you want to click some good pictures. If you have kids with you then you can opt to get inside by buying tickets or can enjoy the beauty from outside only.

A small but scenic artificial lake and garden in Lansdowne. You can walk around both sides of the lake in the paths given, and you could also go for a quick 15 min boat ride. Entry fee is Rs 150 per head, which includes boat ride. They have a small park area for kids. There are washrooms available for both, ladies and gents.

Sreedhar V — Google review

Small and yet beautiful place. A decent restaurant is also at the same place. One of the best scenic views. Taal feels artificially created but then you have to paddle the boat less and has good views to offer.

Chetan S — Google review

Nice place to visit...Taal is surrounded by a nice mini garden...Entry ticket is for 150/- person inclusive of boating charges..Parking space is available... there is a restaurant where you can enjoy snacks and tea/coffee. If you have time you can enjoy a trail just ahead of this Taal..beautiful views..!

One can visit in the early morning if visiting in winters to feel the both of light breeze and sunshine. If you are visiting on weekends please don’t expect entry till 5pm. I went on weekends and they closed the entry at 4pm due to crows for boating. The cost is around 150/- per person. You can do boating, ride on giant swing, do archery, jump on trampoline, and many other activities. There’s a cafe inside the premises and washrooms are also available inside the premises. Just visit an hour early before closing time to avoid rush as there is no ticket just for entry and you might end up paying full amount without boating

DALCHAND S — Google review

It's a nice place to explore. Its artificial lake is good for boating. You can easily spend an hour there. You have to pay 150 rs for a person to explore this area including boating. Parking is free but at the owner's risk.

A Good calm place to spend quality time with loved ones, but the entry fee which is 150 per head is not reasonable. There is nothing as such which we have to pay for. You can hang around and if you wanna go inside take a ticket before 5:00 pm. There are pedal boats available too and you can use them to have fun in the pond. Overall a good option in Lansdowne.

Its a beautiful place under the Army's control. This is a small but beautiful park and has a small lake inside. The lake has paddle boats for ride. Cost of the ticket for entry to the park includes the boat ride as well. However, boating is not allowed while its raining. There is a canteen along side. The canteen provided snacks, food items and beverages at a comparatively reasonably price.

Prem Mandir in Vrindavan is a beautiful temple. It looks amazing during the day and becomes magical at night with pretty lights. You should visit both times to enjoy it fully. There's a cool fountain show with videos at night as well. It gets crowded on weekends, so come on weekdays for a quieter visit. You'll find lots of yummy food stalls and shops nearby too.

It's more like a religious entertainment centre than a temple of worship. We came around 7:30pm and experienced their fountain show. It's huge, there's a lot to see but the focus is definitely on the fountains, displays etc. No bags allowed + thorough checking even with stampede level of crowd.

Very beautiful temple, this is my first visit to this temple I have heard about but it is really amazing in real. The temple is very beautiful all this design and style is amazing, all the life events of Lord Krishna beautifully crafted on walls of temple. There is also a theme park arround the temple where some stories of Lord Krishna a shown. To really experience the beauty of this temple one has to visit in the evening time when the light show and fountain show started they make this temple more beautiful. The crowd management is a lack from temple management they have to make more efforts in handling of the crowd.

UNESCO-listed national park & former Maharajah's hunting ground known for its abundant birdlife.

Heaven for bird lovers. You can spend as much time as you have in the park. Normal people 3-4 hrs. Bird lovers even 10-12 hrs is less. You have to take rickshaw to view the park (150/hr) or cycle (150/day).On foot it will be difficult as its 5-6 km one way. 100’s of species of beautiful birds are there including migrating birds which are not easily seen elsewhere.I spend 8 hrs and came out as i ran out of camera battery. Rickshaw 150*8 = 1200rs but it was worth as rickshaw owners are well knowledgeable and hence no requirement of extra guide which is 250 per hour. Entry is 111 rs. Food options are limited. Two-three canteens which serve chips n drinks. So u can carry your food to help u through out the day.Pelicans, python, ducks, geese, spotted deer baby were some of the highlights of my trip. Will go again as it gave lot of freshness and peace away from crowd and hustle bustle of city life.

PRADEEP M — Google review

One of the best bird sanctuaries of India. The Climate was soothing for cycling. One can walk or talk a cycle or hire an e-ricksaw within the premises. Various varieties of birds can easily be traced out. Best time for visit would be in Dec & Jan as one can find migratory birds on a large scale.

Mahaprasad S — Google review

Good place for bird watchers. Only those interested in bird watching and travelling with required cameras will enjoy and not everyone. Best time to visit is from Jan to Feb.

Prashant P — Google review

Beautiful and peaceful place. If you are interested in bird watching then you should go there because there are many migratory birds in winter. Bicycle rides and rickshaw safaris are also available. You can spend a whole day inside the park. The timings are from 6 am to 5.30 pm. If you are from outside Rajasthan, there is a government guest house inside the park where you can stay for cheap rent.

Amrutha R — Google review

An amazing place ,teeming with gorgeous nature sights, like the wetlands containing myriads of birds like cranes, storks, ducks. And that's just the start of the trail. The most straight forward trail is almost 13 km long, with several shorter trails branching out.Its best to reach early morning, 6.30am-ish so one can Bird watch peacefully. After, 8.30am the park gets full of families with idiots screaming "look look ,there is Bird" without knowing what Bird and scaring the birds away in the process.

Absolutely breathtaking, must visit it 2/3 times across the various timings ie early morning, afternoon and evening. Also great if one can spend 2/3 days here. One day to observe, click photographs etc basically letting the excitement settle, and then one entire day just watching everything. It's a wonder of nature.

A place for blissful peace, near to nature. An amazing wildlife protection sanctuary. Must visit if you can but be responsible and respectful towards nature.

Shashank G — Google review

The place was really beautiful ❤️❤️We saw so many unique birds everywhere like blue robin, fruit bat, babblers, black headed ibis, painted stork, kingfishers, snake bird etcThe best season to visit is in the winter season, and the best time to visit is in the morning. You can walk, or travel by e-rickshaw or cycle rickshaw. It is divided into 2 regions, the dry area and the wetlands. It was a very good experience, if you are in Bharatpur then this place is a must visit.

A true heaven for birds. This is an amazing place to visit and spot some exotic species. Cycle ride was another amazing experience. However, guide service is only available via e-rikshaw, so it's a shame you have to choose either....overall an awesome experience!!

I enjoyed it a lot being it a friends trip. A good place to visit during winters because of the birds season. You can see deer, peaco*cks, cows, monkeys, different kinds of birds Siberian birds, Ibis, partridge, geese etc. Also if you're lucky then you can catch a glimpse of Python or Anaconda.Sanctuary has different kinds of vehicles facilities like cycles of two types, e-rickshaws, Jeeps till a point etc. The whole route is around 4-5km and the same for return as well.Hope this clears some queries. 😊

Beautiful location ! Need to look after more should be restriction on no. of entry. So many species of birds. Dear visitors please don't litter throw plastic & waste. Keep it clean and try not disturbing the habitat.

Awesome place to visit if you want to see beautiful birds and other fauna in their natural habitat.Guide gave a very nice tour in English. He got us some nice pictures that you would normally only find in a nature documentary.

Rolf S — Google review

Though the sanctuary is very big and can be a great destination for nature lovers, maintenance and facilities are not at the par. One need to rent either cycle or rickshaw to cover around 10kms area, which will cost rs. 150 and 600 respectively. The entry tickets are of rs. 125 for indian adults, kids of age till 4 yrs are free. Inside the sanctuary one will find only 1 canteen and 1 or 2 water areas.

On November 17, 2024, we visited Keoladeo National Park, traveling by car from Agra to Bharatpur and arriving in the afternoon. We hired both a guide and a battery car for the excursion. While they claimed that a guide was mandatory for those using a battery car, we noticed many individuals exploring without one. Nevertheless, our guide proved to be quite knowledgeable. He brought along an optical lens that allowed us to observe birds up close. The optimal time to visit is during the winter months (November to January), when numerous birds migrate to the area around October. The park exudes tranquility and serenity, providing a relaxing experience for visitors. Overall, it is a highly recommended destination.

I witnessed a completely natural environment here, least touched by humans. Praise to management that they haven't hampered with natural setting of the place. It's a very beautiful and serene place where you can see what wetland. Lots and lots of bird species, beautiful and rare, migratory and native. The core area is mind blowing where you can see breeding area of birds. It was mind blowing to see numerous types of nest there. Saw kingfisher hunting fishes also. There's a very beautiful lake also where you can do boating, and it's unlike any other lake you may have seen in hilly areas. It's completely different, so serene and so beautiful lake covered with green / pink algae. It looked like heaven to me .I fell in love with this place. Will visit again soon.

Just finished exploring Keoladeo National Park, a #UNESCO World Heritage site and protected bird sanctuary. While the park is home to 350 species, I was fortunate to encounter around 150. Witnessing the coexistence of migratory and indigenous birds was truly fascinating. My standout moment was observing the Bar-headed Geese, the only birds capable of flying at 30,000 feet. They embark on an incredible journey from Mongolia to India, crossing over the Himalayas, including Mount Everest. Birds, as the surviving dinosaurs, continue to thrive, and it's awe-inspiring to witness their resilience.

The breathtaking birdlife, coupled with the serene atmosphere, makes it a truly enriching experience.

As an photography enthusiast, keoladeo national park was in bucket list from long time, but its actual experience was more than just watching birds. cycling on the tracks in natural environment, watching how different birds behave, the scenic beauty, feeling the nature so close.✓Cycling is for sure a must to experience the park closely without any timings restrictions.

Atin G — Google review

It's Paradise for bird lovers. It's also open for routine tourists too. Guides, bicycles, and e-rickshaws are available at an entry gate on rent to traverese in the national park. If you like nature walks or wildlife, you would love to visit this place. The park is a mix of woodlands, grasslands, wetlands, and lakes. You can spot thousands of water birds in the marshy area of the park. Though recent government norms have changed the rate card, and it might be a bit of an expensive nature trail. Hence, I will definitely suggest checking out the fare before finalizing your plan. If you are alone and can ride a bicycle, then it's pretty cheap to move into the national park.

Wildlife SOS - Elephant Conservation and Care Center is a facility dedicated to rehabilitating rescued elephants. The property is expansive, and visitors can take guided tours after reserving their spots online. To catch a glimpse of the elephants, it's recommended to visit around 3:30pm when they are taken out for a stroll. One notable elephant in the center is Suraj, who has the largest tusk.

It was an eye opening experience! Very warm and hardworking staff! They have a lot of information about treatment of elephants and the issues. There are volunteering opportunities for people who want to learn more or contribute. I’ll be back.

Let me start by saying 3 Cheers to Wildlife SoS (NGO/No for Profit Org.) for the amazing work that they do in their centers!Had the opportunity to visit their Elephant Conservation & Care center @Churmura (Near Agra). It comprises of Elephants rescued from different levels of Human cruelty - some forced to beg on the streets of Mumbai; some performed inCircus; some used as a symbol of Power & Royalty & many more.Thankfully Wildlife SoS takes very good care of all rescued elephants & works hard to educate the younger generation about letting wild animals be wild and not using them for human entertainment & needs! They also take very good care of all the rescued elephants.Kind Note: This is not a Zoo or Park but a rescue center- all visits are permitted only with permission from the Wildlife SoS office & with a token donation that keeps the rescue work going.

On my son's birthday, we visited SOS Wildlife centre for elephants. Located near Mathura, it was an eye-opening visit for us. How can man be so cruel towards the biggest mammal on earth, the elephant. The visit started with the educator explaining the motive of the ngo to rescue elephants and how they keep them in the rescue centre.Thereafter, we were taken inside the rescue centre near the elephants and were told stories about their pasts. It was a sad affair to see their injuries of past, soe were blind, some had broken knee, some had their ears chopped off and the list goes on.This was all done previously before rescue by humans obviously for commercial gains. But that is one side of humans, the other is the people working at this NGO, people working 24 hours taking good care of these elephants now so that they are fast on the recovery mode and do not develop hatred in their minds for us the humans. The visit was a memorable experience for my family and my small kids Shaurya and Jeevesh who loved the whole trip.We had the opportunity to bathe this largest mammal with our own hands and feed them too.Appeal to everyone to encourage, motivate and help these NGOs in whatever manner we can !!!!

Must visit place in Agra. They have elephants which are rescued from various places and these elephants needs support and care. It's an NGO driven place which claims that they are running on charity only. People must support this NGO and place for their Nobel cause. They are doing great job.Imp- kindly drop email to their email id and seek appointment before visiting, unplanned visit may not be possible and may lead to long wait time at their gate। So book appointment first.

We were delighted to visit this elephant conservation sanctuary and see how much the lives of these majestic animals have improved. It is great to see how much happier the elephants clearly are here, compared to some of the awful conditions that they have been previously kept in. It is easy to see that everyone there has a lot of love and respect for these elephants and cares about their wellbeing. The staff at the centre were knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, knew each of the elephants by name and clearly loved explaining all of their different personality quirks! If you love animals, 10/10 recommend a visit (I'd also recommend a visit to the sloth bear sanctuary, run by the same organisation, which is inside the bird sanctuary on the way from/back to Agra). Visits are easy to arrange - we just emailed the centre and heard back within a few hours.

Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the Baby Taj, is a stunning Mughal-style mausoleum made of white marble and adorned with semi-precious stones. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Nur Jahan for her father, Mizra Ghiyas Beg, it is often considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. The mausoleum features beautiful towers and a distinctive square top, set amidst luxurious gardens and composite buildings.

It is a historical monument quite beautiful but sadly not maintained at all. Agra Tourism Department and ASI which charges tourist should really do some serious maintenance work. Only extremely positive point was the monument details were also put there in Braille. Only tourist spot where this was done in Agra

This is open from sunrise to sunset. It is made up of white marble so some say it as a mini Taj Mahal and it has four doors. Back door is facing Yamuna river and the view is beautiful. You can sit here and enjoy the view. The art work on marble is beautiful and amazingly well done. Inside this, there are 4-5 graves are there which are present in four different corners of this monument. Rest this place is beautifully maintained by authorities.

The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula is dedicated to Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the father of Nur Jahan. Itimad-ud-Daula was his title. This mausoleum situated on the banks of river Yamuna was constructed in 1626_28 AD. There are many things in this mausoleum, known as Baby Taj, which were later adopted while making the Taj Mahal. People say that at many places the carvings here look more beautiful than the Taj Mahal. Another attraction of this mausoleum is its dome made in the Central Asian style. The gardens and paths here enhance its beauty even more. This mausoleum is the first mausoleum built in India which was made entirely of white marble. Pictures of trees, plants, animals and birds are engraved on its walls. Here and there the pictures of men can also be seen which is a strange thing because in Islam it is forbidden to use human beings as an object of decoration. Because of its beauty, this tomb is known as the Jewel Box.

Itmad-ud-Daula, often referred to as the "Baby Taj," is a gem of Mughal architecture nestled along the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Itimad-ud-Daulah, otherwise known as the Baby Taj was very good for gentle scroll. This was the first Mughal tomb to be built entirely of marble. Gentle walk by a large garden make you think about both mouseleums.Baby Taj was built byNur Jahan and completed the construction of the building of the Tomb of her father in 1628 AD, nearly 7 years after his death.Taj Mahal was built in period of 1632 to 1648.Shah Jahan's favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, was the niece of Nur Jahan,. Mumtaz Mahal. died suddenly in 1631, after giving birth to the couple's fourteenth child. She is buried today directly under the center of the great dome of the Taj Mahal.in her memory by her deeply grieving husband.Hmmm.....makes you think.......Definitely worth visiting.

The Taj Mahal was inspired by Itmad-ud-daula , 30rs ticket. Along with the main building, the structure consists of numerous outbuildings and gardens. The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628, represents a transition between the first phase of monumental Mughal architecture primarily built from red sandstone with marble decorations, as in Humayun's Tomb in Delhi and Akbar's tomb in Sikandra – to its second phase, based on white marble . Located on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River, the mausoleum is set in a large cruciform garden criss-crossed by water courses and walkways. The tomb is a must visit , less crowded, parking facilities available.

Very heavy work has been done on it and very beautiful flowers and leaves have been made on its walls.Because the fort of Agra is very big, so during its journey you may get very tired but you will also have a lot of fun.

Ashish C — Google review

One of the best fort in India. The architecture of the fort is very beautiful due to presence of red rocks. We have to walk for 40-60minutes to cover entire area inside. Security checking is there in the entrance. Carry bags are not allowed inside. Locker facility is available near to the entrance. Always preferred to go in winter or in monsoon season.

Alden S — Google review

Great place to visit. Can see the mugal emperors judging court, rooms, balcony, masjid etc...Guide is needed to understand all these. If they written all the information all people can understand every place' purpose easily. There is no good food/hotel available outside the Fort.

Georgekutty L — Google review

The places is very well preserved. You might not need a guide if you read about the place beforehand and keep a map of the fort handy. Keep an umbrella if you’re visiting in summers, it gets really hot. Tickets are cheap, like ₹40 or something. Beware of Auto-rickshaw-wallas, they’ll try to trick you into paying a lot if you aren’t careful.

Gaurav K — Google review

This is one of the biggest fort in a India about 70 acres now a days just a 20% of the fort is open for visitors. Entry fees is 35 rupee if you book online ticket. It's good if you have a guide with you he told you each and everything like a story inside there is a lots of mahal and garden if you want to visit then must carry water with you for exploring all fort min 2 hours you required. If you plan to visit this must come with family it's one of the memorable trip.

Very beautiful fort. Must visit.I prefer taking a guide every time i visit a historical place. It gives me knowledge of why the place is designed in such way or hidden places and much more history..I would recommend the same to others. But only take government authorized guide.General charges to guide are 450 to 500 approximately or written on board sometimes.

Himika S — Google review

Wow, just awesome. It's located right in front of Agra fort railway station. Auto and taxi ride are very cheap, but they will trick into booking hotels, going to good restaurants or buying pethas. They all work on commission, never fall into their trap. There are many palaces in the fort, you will surely enjoy it.

Agra Fort! It's absolutely amazing! The architecture is stunning, and the history behind it is so fascinating. I loved exploring the different palaces and courtyards. It's definitely a must-visit if you're in Agra! 🏰✨

The red fort of Agra is just amazing as it was shown in movies. The story of Red fort will just kept you bound. The beauty of this monument is mesmerizing. The fort is so big, it is divided in to multiple sections according to the kings name. Every little corner is actually designed so calculatively. If you see a single pillar, then also you will feel the art and work they have done over here. If you are visiting it, then you should go for guide also. They will tell you the details of every single corner. It was an amazing experience.

Amazing place to see.Combination of Hindu & Islamic Culture. It's a huge fort.Highly maintained. The architecture, the vibe will take you in the ancient times.Ticket Available online. You should definitely visit here once if you are in Agra.

Nits R — Google review

Thankfully it has been well preserved. Unfortunately, there are no signs to direct movement of visitors. The information boards are very brief and lack details. It would be beneficial if historical information of each structure/building is displayed.

Once you go inside u feel like what you are is next to impossible but trust me when u see it.It's very nice and large fort, very well maintained and very clean too like a newly built. Lots and lots of foreign tourists everywhere getting amazed what they are seeing....

Ashish K — Google review

Best place to see in Agra. Exterior is impressive and so does the internal parts of the fort. Eighty percent of the fort area is under the control of Army rest twenty percent is open for visitors. Hiring a guide is recommended as they will tell you about the history and architectural features of this fort.

No caption is required for this place. It is the Agra Fort. The great Fort was built by Mughals during their dynasty. Childhood dreams were fulfilled. Please bring your family members & enjoy this historical place. You will be amazed with their thinking, planning, and architect. Posting a few photos for my beloved friends. Detail whereabouts this place is easily available from online.

Tarun G — Google review

No need to describe this place for anyone. The sheer massiveness of this place and the story attached with it is enough to make you visit this place. It's a wonder how people with no modern technology built such huge forts and it's still standing. The fort is open everyday. You can visit the fort at any time. The fort opens at 6 in the morning. You can buy an online ticket before hand if you like. But this place doesn't get that crowded so you can choose to opt for buying tickets at the counter also. It's rs 50 per person for Indians. If you want to know about the place in detail you can opt for guides. But bargain with them as the rates can be very steep at times. Being there makes you think about the historic events that have happened there.

Debodeep R — Google review

Very beautiful. I have visited on Friday and the rush was less. Easily you can spend 1-2 hrs exploring the entire fort. Some of the part of the fort are under maintenance which were closed.Entry fee for Indians is 50 and foreigner is 650.

One of the famous tourist attractions of Agra, The Agra Fort is a masterpiece of its own. Made up of red stone, this place is huge.Probably the best time to visit Agra fort is in the winter/Rainy season.Agra being hot, you will not be able to enjoy this gem of a place.Buy tickets online to avoid the queue and carry a water bottle or 2 because it is huge and might take you 3-4 hours just to see this place.Parking facility was also available nearby

An absolute must visit, you can walk around all day and enjoy the different sights. Unique architecture, lots of details and so much to see. I recommend really taking your time here and investigating every corner. There are plenty of great picture opportunities as well. Play with the squirrels as well!

This was a cool experience and really neat to hear the stories around the fort. For not much you can hire a guide to walk you through the full experience of it. It’s worth taking the time to fully understand all of the history and what it’s about. It was very busy the Saturday we went.

Its huge. 🤌🏻 You need approx 2hrs to finish the entire tour! Beautiful fort I've ever seen way better than Jaipur's forts! ❤️✨Though they should maintain and preserve angoori garden more, can plant trees there tor restore the beauty.

The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has such a rich history. It was fascinating to explore the beautiful palaces, courtyards, and intricate architecture. We will be able to see the stunning views of the Taj Mahal from there.

It was such an experience finally to have seen the enormous Fort. It is captivating and relatable to the grandness and history of India. Worth every penny of the 600 rupees as a foreigner. Lots of scope to try out photography skills. A good 2 hours is easy to see most areas. Calm and welcoming and memorable.

Don't visit at noon. The evening will be the greatest time to visit the fort. You may take drinking water with you but not other food items. If u have a bag then there is a locker room.I would suggest not to take anything along with you.It closes by 5.40 and sometimes they open till 6 Pm.The view of the Taj Mahal from the fort is incredible!

Sights & Landmarks

Taj Mahal, a 17th-century marvel in Agra, India, is a Mughal-style mausoleum made of marble. It features minarets, a mosque, and meticulously designed gardens. Rudyard Kipling described it as an embodiment of purity and beauty.

It's magnificent.. but there's better marble work in Mt.Abu.Different moods n different hues

Marvellous piece of Architecture. In India there many places with great architecture. This monument is worth visiting. Better to book online tickets and avoid long queue. Early morning is best time to visit less crowded and peaceful. Drinking water is available inside gate no need to carry bottles avoid plastic.

Asha R — Google review

Here, you will get the image of the monument reflected on the water. However, it is a crowded spot so you have to wait for your turn to be able to position here, and quickly take your shots once you're in front as others also want to be in this prime spot.

Cherish your moment there, an iconic heritage site. No wonder it's among the wonders.Go to the site during proper day light and spend time till evening to enjoy the sunset moment. The normal entry ticket costs 50 per head, whereas to the podium it will be 150. Of course it's worth visiting and look at the artworks from close eye distance. Keep your token handy, as it is required while exit.

Srinivas P — Google review

As expected a truly incredible experience. It was magnificent and worth hiring a guide to explore the entire area. Recommend using the restroom before entering the grounds as they are very limited there and not great. Make sure to look at the detailIn the marble with all of the exotic stone inlays (by hand) in the dome.

David C — Google review

Always a stunning place to look upon, with a mesmerizing and breathtaking view, no matter how many times you have visited. Recently, a main mausoleum ticket has been introduced, costing ₹150. For those visiting for the first time, they might consider buying the ticket, but I suggest not to. There's nothing inside worth spending an extra ₹150 for , the main entry ticket is for ₹50 (also don't buy those shoes cover outside, you can get them for free at the main mausoleum entry and you only need them for main mausoleum )

How can you not visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World?! This palace is simply amazing and beautiful. I have no words for this beautiful structure. Beyond its beauty, there is a powerful story of the history, involving family, murder, imprisonment, death, and memorial after death. Despite seeing a lot of other visitors there, it didn’t feel crowded. And once you entered inside to see the replica of the tombs, you entered in single file that seemed to move along quickly. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful and overall it was fairly clean. Getting back was a trip! Waiting for the golf cart transport with the other visitors, there was no proper order or manners-so you gotta be quick if you want a seat on the transport back!

It is just phenomenal when you look up-front...... It is even more beautiful when you look up close. The pictures can never define it's beauty. It is truly one hell of a wonder.... No matter how many times you have visited this wonderful monument, every time it feels so different and so amazing and it really would be a monumental regret of your life to not have visited this monument once in your lifetime. It's like this monument has a life of its own and you too will feel it when you are near to it.No wonder why many dream of visiting this wonder everyday.I wish I get a chance to visit this beauty again!

No doubt it's one of the 7 wonders of the world. Spectacular, Beauty created with great architectural skills. Hire a guide there and you will get so much more to know. It will take around 1hour 30 minutes for a full tour with a guide. It has been created so thoughtfully ages ago that you can't imagine. The symmetry in architecture, the 2D designing giving 3D illusions, the carvings of gems and the way they glow in light, I was so amused to see all that which I didn't know earlier. I admire the beauty but more than that the architectural skills. Must visit atleast once in a lifetime..

Swapnil S — Google review

Well managed but for the first timers, it can be tricky to take autos from the car parking as autos are only allowed till a certain point. It is best to take government run battery buses from parking to entry point. From there just a 2 minute walk and one can buy entry tickets before getting in the queue. A big racket and ruckus about shoe covers, so please buy them in advance !

Surinder S — Google review

Very nice maintained world heritage monument. Recommended to arrive at Taj early morning from 5:30 - 6:00 am when the queue is not there. Wheelchair are available free. Battery cars take you from the parking for a nominal fee of Rs 20/- per person.

Historical Monument of India and one of the seven wonders of the world. It is still charming though many years have passed. There is brilliance and accuracy in every portion of the monument. The area is taken care very well. The garden is Maintained well. There are plenty of visitors visiting each and every day from different places and countries. Thanks to the authorities for the timely maintenance and protection given to it.

Nice and impressive building. We couldn’t make the most of it due to the fog during the 2 days we stayed in Agra.So crowed. The access to the building from the city is a chaos. This should be considered and improved for one of the wonders of the world.

It’s a must visit destination in indiaIt is an architectural marvel and an enduring symbol of love. Its stunning white marble facade, intricate carvings, and symmetrical gardens attract millions of visitors annually. While some may find it crowded, its historical significance and breathtaking beauty make it a must-visit destination. However, preservation efforts are essential to maintain its grandeur for future generations.I would recommend hiring a guide as it will help you in entry and will click your good pics as they know the trending pics also

Very nice place feeling is good.Absolutely stunning and marvelous; must-see in your lifetime. Even if the journey is long for you (40 hours for me to get here from Florida) it is worthwhile getting to see this fantastic structure. I highly recommend you pay for a guided tour as it will be educational and efficient. The great photography was a bonus! Indescribable the setting and the architecture as well as the love story here. Hire a local photographer for their digital copy then you don’t have to worry about getting nice photos. They know the nice shots for you. You could get a paper copy as a choice. Go to the other side across the river as well to see from a different view. It looks different depending on the time of day.Spectacular! Great history and amazing architecture! Must see whilst visiting North India. Absolutely loved it. Although if you are non Indian tourist, you have to be careful with local tour guides and shop owners not to try to charge you few times more for services and items.

A very nice location with good vibes. It is one of the greatest locations in the world, and you should see it at some point in your lifetime. Even if the journey is long, you should consider taking a guided tour. It is an amazing structure to see. The great photography was an unexpected bonus! The location, architectural design, and the love story are incredible. You can hire a local photographer to obtain high-quality pictures. They will help you take pictures of your choice. You can also purchase a hard copy. You can look at it from another perspective by crossing the river. It is different at various times of day. It is an amazing history and an amazing structure! It is something that can be appreciated while visiting North India. It was marvelous. While it may be hard for non-Indian tourists to find local guides and shopkeepers who will not try to overcharge them for services and items, it is very worthwhile.

What can I say, it's the most amazing place I have ever visited. The story behind the Taj Mahal and the craftsmanship is incredible. I went as part of a tour, I would definitely recommend getting a tour guide as they can tell you all about the history. We got there just before 8am and there were no wait times at all and this was a Saturday. There are photographers who will take your picture if you want them to but otherwise your tour guide will know all of the best spots to have them. I truly hope I get to visit again!

Without a doubt, the beauty of this place takes your breath away. It's recommended to go at dawn to see the sun rise there. Just be prepared to be patient because it's very crowded, and everyone wants to take photos too. I bought the tickets on the official India website, and it was quite easy; you don't need to go with a guide. You can read all about the place before, during, or after. Make sure to buy the entrance to the place along with the mausoleum. There's a long list of things you can't bring in; try to go with just your phone, wallet, and nothing else if possible

Place is seems to be good when it comes to architecture. Needs to take care of by government more than before. Entry ticket is 50 rs for outer red stones but you you have to take 250 tocket if you want to walk on white marble. Yes you can take wheelchair services. No need to carry bags and extra carry. Just deposit to lockers. Huge parking is there and 500 mt walk from parking to taj entry. Yes there is washroom inside at the right corner of this property.Friday is closed.

Ancient Ruins

Gwalior Fort, also known as the 'pearl' of Indian hill forts, has a rich history dating back to 727 CE. The fortification spans across a 3km-long plateau overlooking Gwalior and is impossible to miss. It boasts an array of captivating palaces, temples, museums and other structures.

A beautifully located fort with rich stone carved works and multiple museums and temples. I visited during early morning hours and the place was swamped with people on their morning walks and workout routines. It was a very pleasant experience to visit it at an early hour however I couldn't visit the museums because they open up after 9.30-10 AM. It is a very nice place for family outings especially with children. The view of the entire Gwalior city from the top of the fort is just mesmerizing.

Gwalior Fort, situated on top of a hill, finds its place among the best fortresses of India. It is also considered to be one of the most impenetrable forts in the country. Known for itsgreat architecture and rich past, Gwalior Fort is a must-visit attraction when visiting Central India.

Without a doubt my only reason for visiting Gwalior was the Gwalior Fort and it proved to be one of the best decisions. In the evening it's an experience all together. A must visit in your Gwalior itinerary.

An amazing experience, a must visit place if you like sculptures and history. A place Ted Mosby and Ross Geller would approve as it is a mix of architecture brilliance and Archeology. It's better to get a guide if you want to know the relevance of each room and Mahal. Unfortunately I didn't take one and my target was to explore the full place. I suggest you to take one full day to explore this place, reach the fort by 8:30 in the morning and climb up. Once you finish the fort, you can visit the Temples nearby Sas Bahu and Teli temple. Both stand tall for the architectural brilliance. The only reason am not giving a 5 star for this place is because it is not maintained well, they could have helped people visiting the place much better. I don't know why they don't get the importance of tourism. People writing their names on the wall ( the wall that stood against many invasion), throwing rubbish here and there and very badly maintained ponds take away that perfect experience of the place. Don't forget to see the oldest zero mentioned in script at this place in chaturbhuj temple.

Mesmerising architecture of this magnificent fort. While you're here at this big sandstone structure don't forget to visit the surrounding places in the hill

The Gwalior fort I must say I am overwhelmed and stunned by the beauty of this beautiful place. My recent visit to Gwalior would always be memorable because of this unimaginable visit to fort. I would say you can’t get enough of this place once you would reach there. This place is actually the crown of this beautiful city. I still don’t understand why this place is so underrated. So you can visit this place by your own vehicle which is allowed till the top and autos or other public transport is allowed only till main entrance. If you love tracking and exploring places please chose to track till top I must say you won’t regret it. Start early in the morning and have snacks and eatables to enjoy your day. The tickets are too nominal like 10 and 25 rs once you reach on the top you would get a breathtaking view of the whole city. One can even plan their pre wedding shoots to this place. I was stunned to see the architect and engineering used. The historical background of this place is really vast. There were multiple rulers who ruled this place. And one can have a good taste of rich cultural and historical heritage.

Gwalior Fort is seriously impressive! It's perched up on this hill, giving you this epic view of the city. The fort itself is like a time machine. You step in, and suddenly, you're surrounded by centuries of stories. The architecture's mind-blowing, and wandering around, you can't help but feel the history all around you. And those views? Oh, they're breathtaking! It's like a front-row seat to Gwalior's past and present. Even the view of the city from the heights is so so so breathtaking. If you're into stepping back in time while soaking in incredible vistas, this place is a must-visit!

Nice place for Trek. Challenging upward slope. You can view the city on your right side. Need atleast 3-4 hrs to fully go through this place. Each and every place here is worth visit. 25rs entry ticket to enter each place here. While returning it would be fun as you can cover whole distance in just 2-3 minutes if you run. But be careful while running, if you slip, you could get roll over till the end.

The Bara Imambara is a centuries-old, sprawling and ornate building in the heart of Lucknow. It features an immense vaulted chamber and dizzying maze, making it one of the city's top historical places.

It is a very nice place to visit in Lucknow. It has bhul bhulaiya which I don't think it is actually confusing. There is also a well which is used by begam in that time.Overall it is a nice to visit with family.

This is a heritage monument related muslim religion. Good architecture, moderately maintained. You can buy cold drinks and snacks inside the monument campus. The small garden was properly maintained and the place was clean. I missed the opportunity to visit the entire place as my mother was having problems with so many stairs. I personally feel that the entry ticket is highly priced as you have to pay to the guide in addition to entry tickets. Otherwise the place is good.

Himadri B — Google review

A beautiful and soothing place. I'd recommend you guys to visit during winter as in summer the temperature is around (35-40)°C so you guys will get exhausted, sun tanned and then it becomes boring. Also make sure you hire a guide for better understanding of the inside architecture and history.

Management needs to be improved. Compounds have good waste disposals at every nook but People should not be allowed to enter the main building like bhool bhulaiya with plastic bottles and juice cartons. There were many left overs along the chambers. It affected the experience. I didn't click photos as I didn't want to ruin the image. It's worth a visit though

Aman U — Google review

Historical landmark in Lucknow.. but management needs to be improved.. ticket is 50 rs per person.. and guide charge is 200 rupees.. nothing to see without guide.. but the place is the main tourist attraction so you have to visit..

It is said that this monument is build of 5 types of lentils. The nawabs use to attack the Britishers from the Bhul bhulaiya situated inside. Also there are treasures buried under this monument which no one can find out as keys have been dismissed. Also there are pathways situated under this fort which opens out to Delhi, Hyderabad and some other major cities. The interiors were very beautiful and I was amazed to see the maze or the bhul bhulaiya which has been constructed so well. The view from the top is also amazing. This place is a must visit if you're in Lucknow.

Nabyendu D — Google review

The place has its own historical significance. If you are in Lucknow don't miss it..The combo ticket for Indian people is 50 rupees and the charge of the guide is 300 rupees. You cannot bring any professional camera with you.You have to submit large or small baggage and camera before entering. Photography and videography are prohibited. You can still capture a few handful of pictures. The place is really worth multiple visit .The labyrinth or vul vulaiya is really mesmsrazing.

Sritama R — Google review

An iconic place to visit in Lucknow. The most interesting part is the Bauli. The inside of the main building is way too crowded. No body follows Covid norms. If you are a photographer you will have hard time finding a clear frame as this tourist place is too busy. Also, we felt the old structure could have been more maintained and well taken care of. The tourist department has not paid much attention to the maintenance of the old iconic building.

Vivek V — Google review

Great historical place. Had a really pleasant experience here. The local guide was very enthusiastic and cheerful. If you ever visit here for the first time, do take the services of a guide, it will beneficial as many a things cannot be known by tourists if explored solo. Really picturesque place. You will be fascinated to know about the history and technology of this place. Must visit, if ever in Lucknow.

Shivangi S — Google review

Too much restrictions too much of commercialization and rigid handling that you miss the elegance of this place.Built by the Nawab of Awadh in for Azadari remembrance, this is elegant and amusing in its construction. It has 45 ways to the inside but just two leading outside.Too many restrictions and conventional rigidities make the experience bad but this is a must visit monument in Lucknow.Take a guide if you are in a group, it helps.

Varun T — Google review

This imambara is the second largest after the Nizamat Imambara. The building complex also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace, but only two ways to come back, which is through the first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture. It was also a relief measure during 1780 famine providing employment generation.

A nice historical place to visit in Lucknow. The top view is beautiful. It is preferable to take a guide for complete tour. Monday it remains close and on Friday, this place opens for tourists at 3pm.

Samapti S — Google review

It's lovely, it's beautiful it holds lots of stories. You'll need a guide here though. It's very clean, but don't fill your water through the drinking water the water's sus. Also a beautiful garden which you're not allowed to enter.

Pranjal C — Google review

I've found this place good. It has been kept well by the govt despite of the fact that huge number of people visit here everyday. However, I found that the rate of tickets were at the higher side. 300 for the age of 16 and above is absolutely unnecessary. If this is considered as a place of worship then let people enjoy some rebate on ticket rates. Overall good experience. Cheers.

A nice place to visit and walk around if you’re in Lucknow. I wasn’t able to gain access since the electronic payment methods were down but I got to visit the lawns which were nice.It was also a bit crowded which I assume was due to Eid so I didn’t mind not being able to access the temple itself. Overall, a great spot for pictures!

Chinasa O — Google review

One of the most beautiful historical place to visit in Lucknow. A place where you can see the way of living of Nawabs. If ever visited in Lucknow so I recommend you to must visit this place. Here you need a guide to visit inside bhool bhulaiya and it's seriously a bhool bhulaiya so be careful and take a guide if you are visiting first time. Helping staff and here you will get some snacks shops inside this place and toilet facilities available inside the place and you will be charged some amount if you're coming from personal vehicle as a parking fee. Overall it's my good visit.

Aditya S — Google review

Nice architectural design, the amount charged here is high bhool bhulaiya, picture gallery and clock tower are must place to visit.Tip: Hire guide over picture gallery as it will make your visit interesting.

Historical Monument, good vibe while visiting the same. Bhul bhulaiya’s history is interesting & one should must visit & ask the same.

Mukund K — Google review

The place is impressive and lots of things to see. Tickets r also very reasonable. In ₹50 you can see everything inside. Guides take about 100-200₹. Guides are compulsory to visit bhool bhulaiya, which is inside the campus only. But it isn't maintained well, so that is a negative point and mostly the whole place is crowded

History - The Bara Imambara, located in Lucknow, India, is one of the most famous imambaras in the world. It was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, the great Nawab of Awadh, in 1784 to provide employment to people during a major famine in the region. The complex includes the main building, the Asfi Mosque, the Bhul-Bhulaiya (a labyrinth), and a stepwell known as Shahi Baoli. The main hall of the Bara Imambara, also known as the Asfi Mosque, is one of the largest vaulted galleries in the world and does not use any pillars or beams for support. It's a remarkable architectural feat of the Mughal era. The central hall is used for religious gatherings, particularly during Muharram, when processions and ceremonies are held to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. The Bhul-Bhulaiya, or the labyrinth, is a fascinating maze of corridors and passages within the complex. It is said that even though it's easy to get lost inside, one can find their way out by following specific routes. The Bara Imambara stands as a significant historical and cultural landmark in Lucknow, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to admire its architecture, explore its mysteries, and learn about its rich heritage.

Beautifull Mughal Architecture of Lacknow. It's a five stories architecture from 1st floor to top is the famous Bhulbhulaia. On the top floor- roof the scenic beauty of the city is excellent. One negetive point- behavior of Guides are very bad & rough.

Dhawal M — Google review

It is among top of Must visit places while you are in Lucknow. Architecture is really amazing andThe Bara Imambara is one of the most famous monuments of the city. It is also known as Asfi Imambara, as it was constructed in 1784 by then the Nawab of Awadh, Asif-ud-Daula. The best part is that it was built as a part of relief project for a major Famine that took place in 1784 (to provide basic necessity to their people by giving them work).Buildings is a 4 story and built without the use of iron bars. Whole Imambara contains Main building having large halls and Labyrinth, Badi Bouli, and asifi Mosque.Labyrinth (Bhool Bhulaiya) in it's wall is well ventilated has stairs and connection to tunnel (currently closed) which connect it to places like Allahabad, Faizabad, Delhi and the gomti river. It contains steep stairs so not recommended for extreme age people and for those who have knee issues.Another peculiarity is that at some places wall is constructed in such a way that wishers can be heard form long distance through walls.Timings: Remains Open from 06:00 am to 05:00pm all day except Monday. Bhul bhulaiya (Labyrinth) opens at 09:00 am, so it's better to visit accordingly.

It's a great heritage site in Lucknow but it's not maintained. They charge a good amount for ticket and guide, but their service is poor. You are lucky if you get good guide there. People have spitted in corners. Requesting to all the Guthakha lover, please don't spit anywhere you wish to.

It’s a one time visit place. It’s one of those attractions that you should visit when you are in Lucknow. It’s a tourist place. So you will have to buy entry ticket. If you want to see Bada Imambara from inside then you will need to pay extra for tour guide and it’s compulsory and also it’s necessary as it has mazes of path ways + historical information worth paying for. We were group of 8 and paid approximately Rs. 500

In Hindu tradition, Triveni Sangam is the confluence of three rivers that is also a sacred place, with a bath here said to flush away all of one's sins and free one from the cycle of rebirthTriveni Sangam is the confluence of the Ganges (Ganga), the Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati River. Triveni Sangam is located at Prayag – the area of Prayagraj neighbouring the confluence; for this reason, the confluence is also sometimes referred to as Prayag. At Triveni Sangam, the Ganges and the Yamuna can be identified by their different colours – the water of the Ganges is clear while that of the Yamuna is greenish in colour. The third river, the mythical Saraswati, is called invisible. The auspiciousness of the confluence of two rivers is referred to in the Rigveda, which says, "Those who bathe at the place where the two rivers, white and dark, flow together, rise up to heaven."A place of religious importance and one of the sites for the historic Kumbh Mela held every 12 years, over the years it has also been the site of the immersion of ashes of several national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi in 1949.

Triveni” means “three rivers” while “Sangam” means “confluence” in English. Triveni Sangam is the confluence of three rivers. The Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj (formerly known as Allahabad) is the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. It is a holy bathing place for Hindus. Bathing in the Triveni Sangam is believed to wash away all the sins of mankind. Every 12 years this place conducts "Kumbha Mela" on the banks of Triveni Sangam & every 6 years "Ard Kumbh". Kumbh is a festival celebrating the faith of drops of nectar that fell here while being carried away by the god after the churning of the sea.“Playwright Kalidasa describes the confluence of the blue waters of the Ganges and the Yamuna as if they were intertwined like a string of pearls and sapphires or a garland of white and blue lotuses. Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj is the confluence of three rivers namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Of these three rivers, the Saraswati is invisible and flows underground and joins the other two rivers from below. The muddy, pale-yellow and mica-laden and stagnant waters of the Ganges merge with the mighty, blue waters of the Yamuna.. The Ganges is only 4 feet deep, and the Yamuna is 40 feet deep during the annual flood here, where the confluence can be seen. Sangam or Sangam is a tirthasthan or shrine. Bathing here not only washes away sins but also frees you from the cycle of birth and death. A shrine is a ford; The tirthasthanam allows believers to cross the river of consciousness from the earthly realm to divinity and immortality. It is known as Sangama Raju or Prayagraj.

The Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj is the confluence or the junction where the three rivers namely, the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers meet. The word Sangama comes from the Sanskrit word meaning confluence. The confluence point is considered an extremely sacred place and a bath taken here is said to eliminate all the sins of a person. The three rivers can be identified separately by their different colours. Pilgrims travel from across the country to visit this holy place and the site has also been the place of immersion of ashes of many noteworthy national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi. This religious place also hosts the significant Kumbh Mela every 12 years. The place itself is an immensely peaceful and beautiful place. The Mela attracts tourists from all over the world and the devotees get to witness a procession of grandeur and celebration. Those who are fascinated by the culture and tradition of India pay a visit to the place during this time. Moreover, it is believed that a dip in these sacred waters can release an individual from the continuous cycle of birth and rebirths.

Moreover the river saraswati is invisible here .Been there on boat and they charged 100 to and fro. They have a setting with the priest for Pooja, but its your option to accept it or not. You may enjoy the beauty and feel the spirituality in the air .Prayagraj is also famous as Bharath ji offered prayers here.

It is an awe-inspiring site where three sacred rivers, the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati, merge together. Having recently visited this remarkable place, I am compelled to share my extraordinary experience and recommend it to all.It takes 1 & 1/2 hour to reach this place through kashi. Boat rides are also available. But we have to sit with legs folded as the boats here do not have foot rest compartments. Might be a bit difficult for people with orthopedic problems. The boat ride costs 1400. There are no changing rooms.

Triveni Sangam is a sacred confluence of three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, located in Allahabad, India. It is considered to be one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus and is believed to have immense spiritual significance.I recently had the opportunity to visit Triveni Sangam and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The moment I reached the site, I was struck by the sheer beauty and serenity of the place. The confluence of the three rivers was a sight to behold, with each river having a distinct color and flow, yet merging seamlessly together. The atmosphere at Triveni Sangam was filled with a sense of devotion and reverence. People from all walks of life, dressed in traditional attire, could be seen taking a dip in the holy waters and offering prayers to the deities. The sound of bells, chants, and hymns added to the spiritual aura of the place. One of the most fascinating aspects of Triveni Sangam is the belief that a dip in its waters can wash away one's sins and bring salvation. This belief is what draws millions of devotees to this sacred site every year. I too took a dip in the holy waters and felt a sense of purity and peace wash over me.Apart from its religious significance, Triveni Sangam also has a rich historical and cultural heritage. It is believed that the city of Allahabad was founded at this very spot and has been a witness to many important events in Indian history. The Kumbh Mela, a grand Hindu festival, is also held at Triveni Sangam every 12 years, attracting millions of pilgrims from all over the world. The infrastructure and facilities at Triveni Sangam were well-maintained and organized. There were designated areas for bathing, changing, and offering prayers. The authorities also ensured the safety and security of the visitors, which was commendable. In conclusion, my visit to Triveni Sangam was a truly enriching and spiritual experience. It is a place that holds immense cultural, historical, and religious significance and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a deeper connection with their faith. The peaceful and serene atmosphere, coupled with the breathtaking views, make Triveni Sangam a must-visit destination for all.

Triveni Ghat, also known as Triveni Sangam, is a significant and revered site located in Prayagraj, India. It holds immense religious importance as it marks the confluence of the Ganges (Ganga) and the Yamuna rivers, with the mythical Saraswati River believed to flow invisibly at this sacred junction. This confluence is often referred to as Prayag, given its proximity to the area of Prayagraj. One of the remarkable features of Triveni Sangam is the distinct colors of the Ganges and the Yamuna. This is my 2nd time to Triveni Sangam. Please plan to go in the very early morning to avoid crowds. I was here around 5:39 am and literally just us but with in 1 hr the place got crowded. Please take a small empty water bottle to collect the river water. You also can buy empty bottles there don’t worry of you don’t have. People are nice specially the boat drivers. It’s a must see in your life. It’s one of the traditional place where you can put cremate ashes in here. There are 3 place where you can do the last spiritual function in India. As per I found out. Please check with your gurus. 1- Triveni Sangan( Uttar Pradesh) 2- Rameshwaram( Tamil Nadu)and 3- Vishnu Pad (Gaya, Bihar). So if you have time to visit all 3 please do so. Also please visit Allahabad( Founded in 1583) Fort just there and if you want to buy original Rudraksha just next to there and also visit the Hanuman Temple there.

We visited the Ganges in three different cities but Varanasi was by far the best. We did a number of trips up and down the river taking in all the sights and culture. We enjoy attending Aarti whilst on the river which was an experience you won’t find in many places in the world. If your in Varanasi definitely do at least one trip on the river and you have a wonderful view of the city.

Mother Ganga: Vaishnavas and visiting devotees from across the globe, often bathe in the Ganges, and offer prayers and offerings to Ganga Devi. Ganga Devi cleanse them of their sins and impurities, and she brings them closer to Krishna. The Ganges River is also a symbol of the spiritual journey of the devotee. Just as the Ganges flows from the mountains to the sea, so too does the devotee's spiritual journey lead from the material world to the spiritual world.#ganga #iskcon #river #hindu #sanatanadharma #spirituality #devotee

The Hindu temple Dashashwamedh Ghat is a popular religious site on the banks of the Ganges River. It is frequented by people of all faiths to witness the elaborate evening aarti ceremony held every Tuesday. The ghat remains crowded with devotees, sadhus and sanyasis to witness the famous ceremony.

The most well maintained and cleanest ghat amongst all ghats in Varanasi. This is the most prominent ghat and a tourist planning to visit Varanasi must consider Dasaswamedh ghat as the first preference for stay. Although the roads and lanes are too narrow for a vehicle to enter for dropping or picking up. But the main road is at a walkable distance only and can be managed by one and all provided there isn’t any health issues or physical disabilities. All pick up and drop facilities are available from the main road only.

It was a wonderful experience of attending Ganga Arti at this Ghat. Holy atmosphere. Feels very nice and proud. Those who are performing Arti are very professional and have very good coordination. The behavior of volunteers was very rude. May be due to the crowd. But they must be a little polite, as their importance is due to devotees only.

The ghats are a great and fascinating riverside walk, and for the western traveller let you experience absolute classic the sights, sounds and yes - the smells of India in a couple of miles with no real hassle or pestering. But if you only have time or money for one thing whilst you are there make sure it is the aarti ceremony at sunset. If you are not Hindu and not taking part in the ceremony be sure to remain respectful and unobtrusive because this is not a tourist spectacle but a sincere and prayerful act of worship for more than 90% of the people there. However, it really is a spectacle: a vibrant, awe-inspiring feast for the eyes and ears.

They were not unruly which was amazing to see. For a photographer it is one of the best places to capture a few incredible shots. Please keep the place when you visit 🙏

The present ghat was built by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao in the year 1748. A few decades later, Ahilyabahi Holkar, the Queen of Indore, rebuilt the ghat in the year 1774.The Ganga Aarti (ritual of offering prayer to the Ganges river) is held daily at dusk. Several priests perform this ritual by carrying deepam and moving it up and down in a rhythmic tune of bhajans.Special aartis are held on Tuesdays and on religious festivals. The Ganga Aarti starts soon after sunset and lasts for about 45 minutes. In the summer, the Aarti begins at about 7pm due to late sunsets and in winter it starts at around 6pm. Hundreds of people gather at the ghat every evening to watch the eventIt is located close to Vishwanath Temple. There are two Hindu legends associated with the ghat: according to one, Brahma created it to welcome Shiva, and in another, Brahma Performed 10 Ashwamegha Yajna, Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna.

Bodh Gaya is one of the four holy places and is the spot where Buddha attained ultimate enlightenment. After leaving his birthplace, Lord Buddha attained “Enlightenment” under a pipal tree. That pipal tree is known as Bodhi tree.

A very warm and calm place for soul and peace. The monks are very good, they tell us about the place with all the details. The tree is literally giving positive vibe. I literally loved the place.. and the best thing is its the centre of attraction 🕉️ will visit again.

Except the approach everything great about the temple. I call it Temple of Great Peace. A must visit for everyone, particularly the young.

One of the most powerful spiritual place I have ever visited in my life. If you're inclined towards spiritual side you can clearly feel the surge of energy within you. Your life totally changes after visiting here, which can be felt only by themselves. It's a totally different experience. Everyone must visit.Just try to respect and follow the rules once you're inside the temple. Strict screening and frisking will be done. Electronics and certain things are not allowed. Photography inside the temple is prohibited.
