This Orange Creamsicle Milkshake tastes just like those Creamsicles you always loved as a kid! Made with just three ingredients, it’s an easy dessert that everyone will love!

Orange Creamsicle Milkshake (1)

I’ve always loved orange creamsicles! When I was a kid, it was my go to ice cream treat whenever the ice cream man came around.

Now that I have kids of my own, I’m always introducing them to my favorite things…my favorite music, movies and of course, my favorite foods. I did creamsicles one better though and the first time my girls tasted this Orange Creamsicle Milkshake, they were totally hooked!

My kids already loved milkshakes, especially my Classic Vanilla Milkshake and this awesome OREO Milkshake Recipe. We’ve even gotten fancy with an over the top with both a Birthday Cake Milkshake and Mermaid Milkshake. This may just be their new favorite though!

The best part is how easy it is (my favorite recipes are always the easy ones). You just need four ingredients: orange soda, orange sherbet, vanilla ice cream and a little whipped cream to top it off. You can always add a cherry on top too, for a special touch!

For some adult fun, try my Orange Creamsicle co*cktail and Creamsicle Jello Shots (Boozy Creamsicle Shake coming soon)!

This recipe makes enough to share and you can probably split it into four serving instead of two if you’re serving it to the little ones. Me? I’ll take a full glass please!

I’ve made this orange creamsicle milkshake several times now so if you’ve seen different pictures on Pinterest, it’s still the same recipe…just better pix!

  3. This looks delicious! I can’t wait to make it for my children. Soda is also a special treat at my house, so they’ll be very excited. We still have an ice cream truck that comes through our neighborhood. My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I get just as excited as the kids when I hear that music.

    1. I agree…you never outgrow the excitement of hearing the ice cream truck! Even with a freezer full of ice cream, there’s something about getting your treat straight from the truck that makes it taste even better!

  4. These look really good. I bought my kids twinkies for what might have been the first time two weeks ago. My oldest is 7.

  7. How many points is it on weight watchers?

    Reply

    1. Unfortunately I don’t know how weight watchers calculates their points. However, I used regular ice cream and sorbet and Orange Crush, which contains sugar. I’m afraid it might be a little high in points (but fun for a splurge day)

You will have to try Root Beer Floats for your kiddos!!!!!

    1. Why haven’t I even thought of that! My girls will LOVE root beer floats…thanks so much for the suggestion 🙂

  11. My friend uses the Orange Blast Hawaiian Punch or another similar noncarbonated orange drink. We’ve cut soda out of our diet for the last 7 years, we all dropped a good number of pounds because of it. Fruit never tasted very sweet till after we dropped how much sugar we were taking in. I sometimes use churn-style french vanilla ice cream and Mandarin oranges, and some vanilla almond milk to make shakes for my brood. Some of them prefer strawberries or both bananas and strawberries. One loves tossing in blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries with the strawberries. This is such a flexible and easily customized drink. Love it!

  12. Can I use orange juice instead of soda?

    1. I haven’t tried but you should totally be able to. I think it’ll taste a little more like an Orange Julius but will still be delicious! Enjoy!
